Hmmm... I never took anypics of the engine when we broke it down. I'm going to run a few more tanks through it and tear it down again. I will then take pictures for you. I'm running it in the H.a.r.c. Series race this weekend so I'll be able to give input on the engine for you. I will say judging from yesterday with both Jason beam and I breaking it in we were both pretty happy with it's performance so far in the break in zone. I have eleven tanks on it as of now and going to put some more throughout it today!

When will he new mill be available... I thought this was the newer engine when I bought it Sunday. The new one looks really nice guys!

Come find me if you need any help this weekend. My name is Nick Sartor. I run a white, blue, and red Mugen.

Got word from GO today that the new motors are somewhat delayed. Looks like very late March or early April before the distributors will see them landed. Keep waiting boys, they are worth it

They were also asking for Team Driver final motor and spares orders as well, so things are happening. Just a little slower than expected thatīs all.

Just got off the phone with Simon... things are indeed moving. Looks like they'll be shipping the US order at the end of next week, and production is well underway. So, shipment to the US at the end of next week, with delivery the following week jives with what Grizz said.

thinking about getting the 3 port

Hey just wondering how the 3 port goes. I own the mg66 and go 5 port. But i run on the few tight tracks and was thinking about investing in a 3 port. Just wanted to know everyones thoughts on it.

right now i am running MG66 with 2072 pipe.
Couldnt be happier with performance with that engine:):):),
I will order GXII engine in two weeks time, tell me please what would be the best pipe combo for running in buggy.
And yes, need advice of glow plugs, should I run Odonell97T, or GO T3, T4 glow plugs, or OS P3,P4 glow plugs, Odonell are the cheapest, but what about performance wise.
Thanks

You will like the 2013 on the new GXII, it really makes the motor bark, and the power is sweeeet right through the range. Wicked bottom end pull too :sneaky:

Haven't really done any fuel milage testing yet. Having too much fun just running fuel through the GXII and hooning it :). Off the top of my head the run times seem pretty good.
We ran some laps with the GXII in truggy this weekend. Nasty power down low (just like the GX-5R), but the best part was the extended top end it has over the GX-5R !!
If you read my comparison on the other thread - it seems to me that the GXII is very much like the MG66, but with much more bottom end. Whether this increased bottom end will reflect on the economy side of things, we will have to wait and see. Initial indications all round is that the GXII is a little ripper. Power to burn and very drivable. You boys will be stoked when you get your hands on one - promise !!

it kicks ass!!!!! My favorite engine. I had mine modded by racer22 [rex welch] improved all around performance.

The new GXII motor hauls with the 2072 pipe, so you can use your existing pipe no problems. I have been running with a Werks 2013 pipe and really like that as well.

OD 97T runs fine in the new motor. I haven't tried any other pklugs at this stage as there is no need (for me anyway).
You will find the power band very linear just llike the MG66, but it will have more bottom end pull. You will like the new motor - promise

I'm running a 053 on my 7pt, will it fair well on the new eng?

Yes I think so. The new GXII has plenty of bottom, and it seems to suit a mid to top end pipe quit nicely. The 2013 I am running is sort of an all round pipe that gives good mid / top and some bottom too, so it is a nice fit. I reckon the 053 is pretty similar (I have run the Dynamite 053 on the MG66 quite a bit), so it should work fine.

What bearing sizes do the gx5's take. I'm wanting to order some ceramics for it. Thanks
