Got my starter box issues sorted, and the thing starts first push now after pre heating, simply magic!
Can get it idling on the box no worries, sits there purring away nicely. However, after putting it on the ground and giving it a few pulls on the trigger, it pulls away, but then it keeps stalling. Would this be because the LSN is to rich, and as I come off the gas, its flooding the motor, which is causing it to stall? I have replaced the glow plug for a brand new one, as the previous one couldnt idel without the ignitor attached. |
just lean the bottom needle 1 hour at a time till it comes good
glad the box is working now for u |
Cheers magpie.
Yip, I found that it seems because of the DE skids I am running on the JQ, it just sits it that little bit higgher which means the rubber wheel doesnt make good contact. Managed to work out a way to run the rear alighment pegs without the main plastic mount though, so all good! :sneaky: |
get yourself a new wheel for the box from griz as i'm running the DE's front & back as well with no problems

(lean or Fat bottom) Did ya set your bottom end tune with the pinch method ? does it pull away crisp but then gets gurgley ? (lean bottom and rich top) If your glow igniter is a clip on one, then leave it on while doing a test run, if this fixes the problem and it keeps running then your too rich, if it keeps dying with it on then it is lean and starving for fuel. make only very small adjustments !! |
why aren't u in canberra flanno ?

3 and 5 Port you can run 086. 053 suits the 7 Port.
We have done truck loads of testing (witness the pile of used pipes in my workshop and hauler bag :(), and IMO you won't find a better pipe for the GO range (Pro Series & GX Series 3, 5, 7 and the GXII-5RHO) than the GO EFRA 2072 for all round performance / economy combined. The 2072 ROCKS - and not just on GO motors either. Plenty of Alphas and JS's etc running this pipe down here too. More sharp bottom and mid than with their matching OEM pipes. Just my findings and opinions of course :) |

very true, the 086 works much better in buggy than the 2072 though. atleast from my experiance. 2072 works better in truggy. 053 works well on a short track only where low end is needed.

The 086 is very economical but with the 2072 I feel like I'm cheating. 12 to 13 min run time and tonnes of power everywhere!:tire: That's in a truggy of course.

with the 2072 im getting about 9 minutes, but our track is large with 2 -120' straights, i do run the 2072 on truggy, and the 086 on buggy, buggy runtime is about 8 minutes
