Arrow Racing GTR .21 Engine Thread

These guys dont race at my home track..The RE-12 is similar to the 9901 and the 9901 sucked on my track..Our home track is 125x250' with a 230' WOT straight..I would trade the extra pit stop for a pipe that gives this engine balls..Grannies with walkers were passing me on the back straight

Take out the stock needles take the stock o rings off then take a small piece of teflon tape and wrap it around where the o ring goes then place the o ring back on its original place, bam your done, The Teflon tape makes the o ring fit snug like its supposed to. Hope this helps
I think I like that idea more than wrapping the threads. Anyone have experience with wrapping the threads? My concern is teflon tape seals and isn't designed to keep rotating - loosening, tightening, etc - that occurs with tuning an engine, and would become worthless after a while.

Good suggestion.

What I have been doing on my Arrow and OS/Bullitt carbs is put a drop of red Thunder Innovation loctite on the threads of all the needles. Then let it sit over night before starting. That solves the loose needles. I replaced the carb o-rings on my Bullitt and Arrow engines and they were both still way too loose once the engine was at temp, so thread lock is the way to go imo.

Yes. It will take Nova, Werks, OS, Alpha, etc. the only carb that I know for sure will not fit is Picco, but I have not tried them all. I have a nova carb on mine now and just got an OS carb for it cause I need that Nova carb back on my Nova. Put a little TLC into your nova or OS carb and it will last a lifetime if you don't ruin the insulator with the pinch bolt.

Hi,
I am from Asia. We ran the Arrows here, with no whatsoever issue on the engine. The engine and carb all been very stable and easy to tune engine.
We had a team running the Arrows running in an endurance 8 hours race. Should have finish 1st place.....if the car didn't break down.....and clock the fastest lap too. Eventually finish 2nd overall..........
So far this is the first time I read that USA have so many issue with carb. All the needles are super. The engine hold tune in hot and wet weather. and I find it very strange that Arrows in USA have many issues on the carb.
