How can you tell if you have a gen 1 or a gen 2?????

The Gen 2 carb isn't a work of art either. Rc willpower on ebay auctions O.S.xzb carbs and they consistently go for about $25. Thats probably cheaper than replacing the o-rings and you have a much smoother carb. Hobby pro sells the new case. I think the problem with the gen 1 case was the loose bearings but not all of them had the problem. Check and see if you've got a bad one.
Edit. Hobby pro also has the o-rings and for only $7.99. Case w/o bearings is $62.39 and with bearings is $89.99 I tried to register there but there was no option to select for Spain, they only seem to ship to US/CAN/MEX. Bit of a shame really, so I dunno what to do now. |

Here is one way to tell if it's a gen2 engine.

Guys, it turns out that even though the auction showed a picture of the Gen 1 engine, the package I received did in fact contain a Gen 2 engine.
I'm thinking this seller should update his pictures, so that people are not avoiding his auctions for this reason! :D So from dispair I have instead moved on to joy, just goes to show you should never assume the worst :D lol!!!! |
Thanks guys for that can't wait to start running this motor going to be fun

Can i use the os xzb con rod In the arrow gtr? |

If it fit, wonder why this guy wants to put a xzb rod inside a Arrow. It should be the other way. Arrow rod is way cheaper than a OS. Looks it's a + for OS owners.

I just put a P/S/R in a ninja i had laying around. So far after break in I'm really impressed. Holds a great idle, LOADS of bottom end and still screams top end with temps staying in the 195 to 215 range w/OS 2060. IMO the VZB has little more top end and little less bottom end(very little though and temps are still running low so it could be leaned some more for top end but it definitely has more bottom punch and I'm running steel flywheel). Bottom end feels so strong on this motor I may try it in my truggy.:D

The XZ rod is significantly lighter |
the Arrow rods aren't built to the same tolerances either. I was changing out the rod in my VZB limited edition last weekend and the OS rod that is worn was a better fit than the brand new Arrow rod.

I don't for sure. But my friend did get a psr replacement to fit his OS and find nothing wrong.
