It has been quite some time since I had any Go stuff. Glad to hear they've gotten their act together. They weren't too great at first.

+1....ITS GO TIME!.....dont worry mike just let your GX5R motors speak for themselves:sneaky:

I've run some weird stuff. OS and mugen JX ninja parts are compatible(excluding the new OS XZ-B line), but that's expected as OS makes the ninjas. I've personally run a ninja bottom half(crankcase, crank, rod, backplate, etc...) with a v-spec top half(piston, sleeve, head button, head, etc..). Pretty wicked engine!

Way back, a dozen years or so ago. I found out that
Traxxas engines and their parts will fit in a trash can.

i agree, they did have issues with carb seals, but have since solved the problem, i think they all have there problems when a new mill is released like OS had a rod and crank pin problem in the v-spec. odonnal had the crank problem with fill coming out, GRP had the conrod problem, but alll in all, it is what it is and if the parts are cheap to replace and fix then its all good.:)

As it should be. Better performance at 1/3 the price ;)

Novas replacement parts are also 5-10x the price of go engine parts. I can buy a new con rod for $13 and a new piston and sleeve for $60-70.

I ran go engines also. the early ones.ran good for a bit. but the newer version is alot better. alot of guys i race with run them. yes the nova price is more but you wont match the performance.

Apparently many Reedy and OS parts are interchangeable. I know the cranks are.
