The Dynamite Xpe is the best motor in Dynamite's line, it is made in a different factory than the other Xp motors. It is worth the extra $, may have too much power for a new guy though.

oh here we go again.... let me save you some time......
both good engines
50 people will say dynamites are good engines blah blah blah best they ever had ..
200 people will say the same about the werks engines
10 people will get on here and say their fujiyama motor is the best ever going 30 gallons and getting 20 minutes of runtime
15 people will swear by novarossi and throw that in the mix even though its not on the choices list...
bottom line save yourself some time get a werks engine, sooner or later youll be buying one anyway

I run this engine in buggy and is flat amazing power. It wheels truggies really nice aswell. Get it you wont be dissapointed. Half these guys on here saying they like werks never seen or ran a dynamite and think the name is cheap so the engine is and thats where there wrong. Ive seen more werks junk out its a joke. Werks are nice but i really love my dynamite more. plus since you got the money for it and a pipe snatch it up i will gurantee that you will love the power this thing offers. I still havent passed 220 on degrees and the power is nuts, considering 250 is where it really likes to run, I still got a big window of power to open it. also before im bashed on the werks area im not saying they suck they are really good but i have seen 2 werks a b5 and b6 not reach 2 1/2 gallons. The b5 was the updated one and out of box junk carb then went to totally dieing 2 gallons later the b6 ran really good but didnt hold compression. Now for dynamite ive seen a just broken in get stuck at full throttle till it died and only lost the rod. Senn another in a losi get stuck in full and did no harm. Cant compare but the dynamites are just rock solid. I can go on and on about the good in both but for a beginner and club racer its great. I love my dynamite others love there werks. Just like a car for example some love there hondas but i love my idk dodge or somthin. There are always fan boys but ur guts saying xpe for a reason! lol

Thats not the whole story gauge on the b6 in ?. remember what happen to it before it loss compression.I never seen a engine take so much dirt in and still run. And the carb on the b5 was poorly adjusted throttle linkage sirio/werks carb need the correct linkage setup. They are a little more proned to bind at barrel and has nothing to do with quality.Just make sure the linkage is good I did see nicks b5 take a crap at two gal and dont know why.I still have my b5 with two gals and still has good compression but i like my sirio evo 4 sti better as for the xpe they seem very good engines and the people who have them seem to like them.Just pick one and good fast

At that price I would get the Alpha that it is copied from, for $20 less.
