im gonna take it apart today and i will also order those plugs. thanks for your info, i let you know what i find

ok problem solved. when I went ahead and opened it the piston sleeve somehow came out of it slotted position. not sure how that happened but its back to normal now.

Loose head screws?

No. on this Picco there is a little groove in the sleeve and on the crankcase there is a little notch, that lines them up. Im not sure if all Piccos are like that I had 2 P3 .28 but never had them long enough to tear them down.

Picco engine wearing rod faster then nova engine.This is what i do to my engine.

New engine = Just break in box stock.
After break in,change to new rod
Silicon to the crank intake (Something like JP engine)20-30% of power increase.
Silicon to the carburator and back plate
Let it for 24 hours before running
Run in again for 2 more tanks at rich side,then tune for race.
The engine will last very very long time before rebuilt.(10-15gallons)
