Dynamite .21XPE V. Alpha Red Head

Well i just picked me up a XPE and word it its just a red head alpha with a diffrent name and color head. I looked into it a bit and the blocks look the same, along with alot of other stuff. What you guys think also im ganna try out a GRP 2053 pipe. How you think it will work and whats the best pipe for these in the jammin jp line? I know alpha and dynamite have pipes but i want a jp pipe considering they work with alot of engines that i run. THANKS for all your input.

It is a rebadged Alpha engine so it will run good with any 0801 pipe. Not sure on the JP pipes.

Dynamite Xpe is the same as the Z852 green head. They say there is some slight difference but I haven't seen any. I sell Alpha motors and my son is sponsored by Dynamite and runs the Xpe. Never tried a 2053, we have ran 0801 A+, 2081 Alpha, 2072 Go and those all work well.

ive tried a 2053 and good luck getting any bottom end power out of it but it will scream about 3/4 down the straight lol. JP3 will suck, run time will be around 6 min. JP1 maybe, the 2013 or 0801 pipe are the only ones i would run. also i advice going to a 15T CB on the HB, it will be a whole other animal.

also you can get this 0801 (its the same as the Alpha 0801 but cheaper):http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...EMCA-0801-Pipe

0801 is the ticket, but from what I have seen the JP-1, JP-2, or JP3 all work well, with the benifits that each offer.. The biggest draw back of these pipes over the 801 is fuel mileage.. The 801 is far superior in that category..

Ok thanks everyone for pointing me in the right direction for a pipe im ganna go 0801.

Don't be afraid to get it hot. I've run my XPE for about 2 1/2 - 3 gallons now and it's a bullet. My engine usually temps in the 260 range (O.S. P4 Plug), sometimes hotter. I usually don't use a temp gun anyway. If it's smoking well, coming back to idle ok, and clearing out quick when you step on it... then it's right. No temp gun required.

if its like the Alphas they run at around 260-280, when Alphas are new youll see temps around 280-300... i never check the temp on these engines, it will mess with you to much, the only time i worry about temp is if its over 300.
