Just an FYI, I just received the latest edition of R/C Car and there is a nice little review of our Pro Clutch in there. So for anyone looking at our clutch pick up the mag as it's a no b/s type review as they are know for. Adding to that I think this was the last edition of R/C Car to go to print before the magazine was shut down and I thank them for allowing our products to be in their final issue.

RIP R/C Car Magazine

Hey Guys. Just wanted to send out and update.

For everyone that runs a mugen mbx6 use the OFNA clutch bells. A few posts back I posted picture using the mugen bell and you have to do some special shimming.

With the OFNA bell its a direct fit with 2 shims in front of the clutch nut and 3 shims on the front bearing and it fits perfect.

Best part about this clutch is that we ran them yesterday at the nitro pit and they did very well with pretty much no wear at all.

Ok so it gets better. I am waiting for some engine parts to come in so I had to use a friends Jammin jpx. I had to wait until I got to the track to mount the clutch on the borrowed engine. Ha it took about 3 minutes to mount the whole thing with the bell.

It took longer to put engine blocks on than to mount the whole clutch.

I would say when you replace the shoes then toss the springs however based on how long these shoes are lasting I would say at 1 gallon.

The shoes do last a while don't they! My guess though is that you are looking at close to two gallons though

Ron, what characteristics do you notice from a..

x4 aluminum with 1.0's to a x2 carbon w/ .9's and x2 aluminum with 1.0's?

Same question for x4 1.1's? 1.1's tend to run on higher traction tracks i take it? Harder flywheel hit... because they have higher traction to deal with the wheel spin?

Reason I ask.. Since Ive been racing... Always used an ofna/kysho style clutch x4 lumies with 1.0.

The 4x alu's w/ 1.0's is what I would consider a general starting and overall set up. Change to 2x carb/.9s when the track is lower grip or if you are running on a bumpy/rutted track. The little bit of extra slip will make it easier to drive the car. 4x 1.1's + alu's is a high bite, late engagement type of set up. Run this on blue groove (possibly damp packed clay) or hard pack type tracks where you can put the power down without a lot of wheel spin. On any other type of track condition this set up will in my opinion be difficult to drive. Hope this helps!

I'm the guy that absolutely hates making clutch changes but this pro clutch is a sweet piece of work Ron, I think I might of even had a smile on my face putting it together
