What i can tell you as FACT i have owed ninja jx 21, 3 nova fms motors,js .21 MM MG66 4 xtech .21 ect ect. I have also on numerous occasions got to race speeds in both buggy and truggy. Rb usa in buggy and what i can tell you is the Clockwork b5 takes a back seat to NONE of them.It is right there if not better depending on the track conditions(there are times when its too much) and your driving style. What pushes it over the top is the price point and the service that comes along with it. Some of these guys need to stop rushing to judgement based upon one opinion..I ran a cash race against 2 ab modds speeds and 1 ab modds ninja. I won that truggy race with my sons losi 350 rtr motor from his buggy when my last fms broke a rod.So now a losi rtr is better than ab modds speed and ninja...no! all I'm saying is that you guys need to keep an open mind becouse there are soooo many variables that goes into how a motor functions and runs..Most being human error on our end.Neal's motors are the real deal and so is his service.ANYONE who tries to state other wise is just kidding themselves!!! The funny thing is the more LIP service he gets from some of these skeptics the more motors he sells!!!
Its not about being on some wagon its about getting value for your money and a quality product service and experience and Clockwork provides all of that!
Oh and there FAST and reliable!!!

Gotta love PANTERA!! Neal is an outstanding individual and Business man.I mean once you have made a purchase from him its not the old(out of site out of mind i got the $$$) The man calls you out of the blue to see how the break in went ,if the motors running good or if you need any tuning assistance!!! Were else in this day and age do you get that kind of customer service? The man does this for a living, takes pride in everything he does. And to be truthful should not even be responding to most of the ignorance that's being posted on his thread. You got some guys on here that are not old enough to drink and may have there Mommy's buying there motors for them acting like some sort of authority. You have others making statements about a line of motor and modded by Neal who have NEVER pulled the trigger on any motor Neal has modded. But taking info from what ONE guy has told them???

No doubt its a good engine...
However have to consider the fact that if your looking for a modified engine from me then the B5 and B6 are going to be tough to beat....I have nearly a year of R+D into the engines, many hours on both the track and the dyno..... I would like to think I have both the B5 and B6 dialed ! They have also proven themselves to be very reliable, good on fuel and extremely fast.... The new Orion is built at the same factory, but I am not sure if it has the features the B5 does... The more expensive Orions do have some trick features, but I am not sure how much that carries over into the budget version of the engine....In the price range the B5/B6 is going to be tough to beat IMHO...I can understand someone wanting something else just to be different, but if your looking for straight out performance then the choice should be the Mod B5/B6.....Tho I am willing to mod any quality engine, so its all good no matter what anyone chooses

I have always said that unless you have used it yourself (providing you know what you are doing) dont comment on, or give advice on that product.
I to spent years running os, rb, nova, jp racing, and ninjas. These are all fine engines, all have there strong points and there weak points but all fine engines! I have now also run a few werks engines, and let me tell you the werks line up is every bit as good as the other brands i have mentioned, Ron you should be proud of the products you produce and the service you give!
As for Neal and clockwork racing engines i also have run Neals clocked B5, B6 and ninja and man Neal knows his stuff, his engines are the real deal, he puts out some great work for sure and his customer service is top notch! I dont think anyone that has run his engines could truthfully say a bad thing about his work or service! Keep it up buddy!!
Its a real bummer that there are so many negative people about trying to discredit products just for a joke, or just to cause trouble, there really is no need for it, sure if you have a problem with a person that has ripped you off or a faulty product sure let us all know! But trying to make good people like Neal look bad is a bit childish! Just my general thoughts on some of the BS that seams to happen on these forums.

If you can't keep the discussion civil, just don't post. Simple as that. This is EXACTLY how RCTech threads turn into massive arguments. A civil debate is fine, but there's always some idiot that has to make it personal and start with the insults.

Hi Guys,
Just a quick one - looking at a Clockwork B5 for my Truggy, but I've read a few posts about clutches - will the standard Mugen 3 shoe be ok or do I need to upgrade to the M2C 4 shoe ?
Thanks
Neil

the mugen 3 shoe will work...but it might not last long...the B5 makes some serious HP and usually 3 shoe setups aren't up to the task.... I strongly recommend the M2C setup, but other setups will work to some degree
