Getting these record setting rutimes requires a substantial amount of tuning/setup skill, as well as a planned driving strategy........Unfortunately the average weekend racer is very unlikely to match the crazy runtimes they see Drake achieving

The main difference in runtimes from the same engine is the guy that controls the tuning driver and the remote control, if your spending time spinning the wheels then your wasting run time, if you pulling the trigger hard your wasting run time, if your tuning is off your wasting run time, it all comes down to having the right tune and set up and then driving extremely smooth from corner to corner while loosing the least amount of traction during that tank.
Get it all right and the run times you hear about can be yours too .... food for thought. |
In buggy I can reach over 12 with a Plus 4 and 053 pipe 90% of the tracks we go to. In truggy I reach 10 about 75%. In truggy I drive punched so it seems the track layout is the major factor. I'm sure I'd be over 10 every time if I would drive smoother...but that's not as fun. LoL.

Anyone have any input on this? I need to buy another 9886 or a different pipe today to have on hand before next weekend.
We ran the engine this past weekend and we love it. We have almost a gallon on it now. I have the NR9886 on it now but it is very thin and already got dented up. How would the NR9901 or NR2096 be on the Clocked P5 in a buggy? Better then the 9886, if so which one? Thanks |

The P5 spins up nice on the 086 pipe. It's not 100% the same as the NR pipe but it's close.

John, I have an Ofna 086 you can borrow if you want.

And some stats! I will definitely be shooting more video of this engine....However right now the ground is too wet for us to run on the track....I have nowhere to go till things dry up a little more here.........The engine rips....most likely crazier then anything you have seen yet.....so you better have your tires glued well and your clutches setup right, or thing is going to tear right thru them.... I Am by no means exaggerating or elaborating any details ...this engine is legitimately very powerful..... I have already done some clutch damage LOL |
i read on here somewhere that the bonito was the most bad ass engine to put in something, have the tables turned and is the roma at the top of the pack?
