Will do. What is the best place to start for clutching the P5 in a truggy? I have a stock Mugen clutch and I have a spare Werks "light" clutch laying around and have al springs?

I would start with all 1.0's and then work up from there.

I wouldn't change the pipe going to truggy. Maybe use the nova round manifold (41021). I'm a huge fan of the M2C clutch and will be trying out the Buku very soon. But the Neal knows way more abt the P5 than i do. Just got the Fire 11 crackin and the Burrito is on order.

I've been running the ascendancy clutch on my P5 and I'm not really loving it, it seems to have a bog on the bottom end. It just doesn't have that snap that I like.

TRY the m2c i found it a huge improvement over the ascendancy, reg hard shoes,1.0 for truggy. For buggy i realy like the Buku,it finds traction and no bog.

Yeah I've got one on my bonito but instead of switching the m2c clutch back and forth I was using the ascendancy on my P5 to see how it would work. I like the ascendancy clutch don't get me wrong just not on the CRE engines. I'm sure some ppl will say that they use it on Neal's engines and don't have a problem with it, but I don't care for it. On my stock B5 it works great!

I ran the CRE P5 on a m2c clutch with 2 .90 and 2 . 95 and +1 tooth on the cb in a buggy with all the screws in the flywheel. There was no bog whatsoever it was smooth and had tons of power. I prefeer smooth bottom to a snappy bottom. In the truggy I would take most of the screws out and maybe use 2 .95 and 2 .1.0 on the springs. The CRE P5 and CRE Bonito just don't seem to care up a tooth, down on the clutch springs they just pull and pull and pull. Satisfied customer here.

The right clutch set-up is vital to CRE engines. Forget about anything 3 shoe as there is just too much slip, or bog. No matter what you try as far as springs or shoes you just can't get it quite right. Been hearing good things about the Buku once people figured the adjustments out. Longest lasting shoes on the market from what I'm hearing and I have inspected clutch bells first hand and there little to no bell wear even after gallons of fuel. Personally I would not use anything other than M2C or Buku on Neals engines. Most clutch systems just can't handle the power.

Ive been a M2C & CRE guy its a great combo the new clutch is cherry so much easier then before also have a steel version for those loose days havent tried but Mitch puts out good products.

I run a Buku on my CRE Bonito and can't imagine anything better honestly. I have a new M2C that I want to try out one day but its actually the older version. Been hearing good results about the M2C so maybe the Buku will have to sit on the sidelines for a little bit while I tune the M2C. CRE Bonito+ Buku=the best combo I tried yet.

i'm goin to run the steel m2c clutch for the first time on sunday with my cre p5. i'm starting out with screws all around the outside, 2 .9 springs and 2 .95 springs with med shoes. i ran it on the street yesterday just to make sure it all worked well.

Good to go

Neal I got everything sorted out. Put the 7.5mm Venturi back in and made some minor adjustments and all is well. Thanks again for the sage advice.

Thurs night racing at Fear Farm tonight, buggy P5 performed great:) Ive got about 1.5 quarts through it now. Eager to see what this thing has for run times:sneaky:

Hey just wondering what would be the better choice for my Clocked Bonito .21
I'm putting this engine on my Kyosho ST-rr EVO and so far I have the Kyosho Clutchbell 13t that comes supplied with the Kyosho kit installed with the M2C6074 clutch kit on it. I notice that the Kyosho clutch bell is a little large in diameter it almost appears to be a little too large for the M2C kit I have...I am also having to use too many shims between the bearing and front bolt being that this Kyosho clutchbell does not seem to want to sit deep enough and has way too much play unless I really use alot of shims (I believe I have 5 shims all together in the front...3 are larger in diameter and the other 2 are thinner ones). It has a perfect amount of play but just looking at it this clutchbell does not look like the right one for this particular kit. I guess I'll find out once I finally start running this engine everything may work perfectly...I would really prefer to just purchase a separate clutchbell that may work better with the M2C6074 kit because I hear nothing but great things about this particular clutch...I was just wondering if anyone is using a preferred clutchbell when using the M2C6074 kit...or should I stick with the Kyosho clutchbell.
Thanks.
