I would say it lost lubrication on the wrist pin...the Disco doesn't have upper rod bushing, its steel on aluminum ....Sorry to see your engine fail .....just to be clear to everyone, this is not one of my modified engines, I do not do mods to the Disco's !

No this is a stock one. But both bushings show no wear. The piston end is still intact. It broke right below it.

it split at the bushing...based on what I see its lubrication issue.....the bushing grabbed the wristpin and broke the rod....I am not sure of the other rods will work...They not engines that I usually work on so I have no data to offer you....sorry !

I still have not ruled out getting another motor. I got it in August and it did not last anytime and I run on the rich side. I only club race on a small track. I paid 157 shipped from Stormer and a new rod cost 60-70 bucks. So would you rebuild it or get a new one? Thinking about a Fusion X3 or Werks B2.

Best comment I heard on the week end was what type of jet engine you got in that thing today, Novarossi P5XLT & 2058 pipe was the answer.
