The "CRE Garage" is starting to shape up.
Did you guys get all of the ma-cheens moved in yet?
Looks like you still have enough room for the big flat-
screen, gaming station,refrigerator,microwave, coffee
pot and don't forget George's couch.
Don't forget to hook some big tanks of Halon gas up
to the security system. That will keep any unwanted
intruders in, the middle of the night, from walking off
with anything. ....................

m2c clutch, 8 weights fitted on the outside holes, 4 x 1.0 springs, reg hard shoes and seems to work a treat if you are smooth on the trigger, if you yank the trigger the buggy wants to transform into an aircraft, funny that lol

Neal give us a pic of the enclosed break in bench!

I'm clutching up my CRE P5 today for Thursday night buggy racing. I'm going with all the weights in the M2C, 2-.90 and 2-.95 springs, one tooth up on the clutchbell, Ofna 086 pipe with the double bend manifold to smooth out the ballistic torque. Will report back Friday after the races. I am not smooth on the throttle!

Seems kind of counter-intuitive. Why buy that much power just to to slow it down and smooth it out to try to make it controllable in your buggy?

Seems better suited in a truggy to me, if all of that is necessary.

I'm curious to see how your millage is, may consider one for my truggy

I like to have engines that work for me in both buggy and truggy. I got used to taming Neals engines from his early B5 mods, besides the fact that I get Nova quality and Nova Carb at such a low price point. Over the last 3 years I have had a stable of different engines to choose from and I dont want to do that any more. For the foreseeable future I want to stick with 1 engine that I can just have 3 of. One for buggy one for truggy and 1 for backup. This way all 3 engines work in either vehicle and the carbs and parts are all interchangeable. The power is all still there but now its usable controllable power that I can fine tune just with my clutch and pipe

That's a really interesting point James, and with today's quick release motor mounts and M2C's newest quick change flywheel/clutch shoes it can be a snap to swap from ride to ride 'if needed'. Looking at your race results lately I think you've got things figured out just fine

Thanks John. I just got back from some open field testing and the P5 is completely dialed in the buggy now! I could not break out the rear tires even on a loose dry dirt field stabbing the trigger. We'll see how well it works on a track but it's feeling pretty awesome as is. I am not smooth on the throttle so I need a set up that works with my itchy trigger finger. Other drivers may very well hate my set up. I did stick with the 2058 pipe and standard manifold. Engine was nice and smooth on the low end and kept pulling until I let go of the throttle. This engine is perfect for any application. In my truggy with a much more aggressive clutch it was throwing it around like a rag doll. I can't see anyone being dissapointed with the CRE P5. Nice work guys!

Big thanks to CRE. Ordered my Nova P5 (including break in service) last Thursday evening local time, arrived first thing this morning (Wednesday).

Awesome service!

Which venturi are people running when its in there buggy? The smallest one to tame the power, or just going balls out and letting as much air in as possible?

Just need to decide if I have the time to get this into my JQ and a few tanks into it before this weekends racing.......

put the largest venturi in..... it will make tuning easier and will not harm mileage.... My engines generally do not like being restricted like that..... Let her breath and use the clutch and pipe/gearing the dial in the power delivery...And of course you have time to run a few tanks before this weekends racing !!!!

haha, yeah I just wasnt expecting it to get here so soon. Was expecting the new buggy to arrive first which I ordered before the motor. But, may have to debut the motor in the JQ this weekend, and send the buggy out in style!
