Here's an update, Ron saw my post and is replacing the bad block. That's customer service! Thanks Ron. OS and Nova wouldn't have pm'd me if my engine was bad.

I really like the clocked B5/2013 in truggy. Especially when we run clockwise and 10 min into a race everybody starts bitchin about that 2013 hurting their ears, lol.

Neal, got my P5 today. Thanks for the super fast work and thank John for the cool Team Terribles decals. I'm stoked to get it on the track. What kind of runtimes is it showing?

Take this with a grain of salt, but I was getting 7:30 with it this past weekend in my Durango with an OS 2060 pipe. It has a little over a gallon on it and I still had the LSN a little rich. After the main I came off only 221 I believe. Once it loodens up a little more and I lean it out a little more it should improve. I also threw on the 7.5 venturi and I might go down in size. I do not think there was another buggy that could pull me on the straight so I can go down easy on the venturi size and be fine. What is a pipe and header that is proven for mileage that I should try on the P5?

the 2060 is probably the worst pipe u can use for runtime.. try a nova pipe and header.. 9901, 2084, 53, 2096.. all with 21 header will yield better run times...

Yeah I know. All I had this weekend but that is about to change. Which combo of header and pipe would be best for mileage. I am not worrying if it hurts performance any as this clocked P5 has plenty top and bottom! What would be th ebest mileage pipe?

Neal Suggested I run mine with the Werks 2058 Pipe so thats what Im going to run it with at first, also mine is fully broken in and ready to rip so I should not have to suffer through those rich conditions and crappy fuel economy.

Unfortunately for me the winter came before I could get any solid track time with the P5.....When I ran it it was on the 2058, and the power was off the charts... In a buggy it would need to be geared up at least one tooth, possibly two......My next pipe I would try would be the 9886 on a ultra short double 90 header....I would also use the larger carb insert...my engines usually do not like being choked down and usually give the best mileage on the larger inserts.....The best mileage will likely come from finding the combo that makes the most power, usually as engine efficiency goes up so does the power, or visa versa, they are directly linked to each othher.....Once the engine is making full power adjust the gearing and clutching to suit your needs......Doing this will find you the best runtimes.... de-tuning one of my engines with pipe and venturi will usually kill performance and runtime all a the same time.....

All right thanks Neal. I will run it some more and am going to try a Nova pipe and header on it. Over time I am sure the run times will improve.

Can't imagine 2013 on buggy! You go up 1 tooth on bell?
|
Nah, I have it clutched kinda light-.90 and .95s. Perfect for me. U know how i like torque.
