Tracks sizes

Hi. Thanks for the reply.

The tracks I am on are generally tight. There's only a few times when top speed

are needed. Mostly, I need quick, storng, bottom end hits. Coming out of a

corner, into another small straight, brake, turn another corner, quick snap of

torque to get up over a large jump.

Tracks are excellent for E-buggies and E-truggies where torques is all there.

Thanks:D

In that case, definitely use the TQ pipe, or the JP3. The 086 with long header will work too for low-end response. The RB pipes will not.:batman:

The combos and the engines alone have been available for several months now in the US. Several retailers and mod-shop resellers have them in stock. Amain has the engine and the exhaust system priced so low that you could buy them both separately for about the same price as what the combos were originally going for.

Here's a link to one retailer's website:
http://www.hobbyworks.com/default.cf...Home&ID=990003

Here's Amainhobbies.com's link to the engine's page, which has the most information available on the engine, and incredible pricing. http://www.amainhobbies.com/advanced...501-T&x=6&y=10

Also, your lhs can order one for you through HobbyWorks, the TQ distributor. The warranty/service department is right here in the U.S. too, not Italy. And there's tons of support from fellow TQ engine customers and team drivers right here. What more could you ask for?

Hey guys, i decided to race my old grp yesterday, and forgot how much i loved this engine. However, the front bearing got some grit in it and now needs replacement. What size are the front and rear bearings in these engines? And what would be a good ceramic replacement for the rear? Looks like a new TQ engine might be in my near future! Oh and the motor was ripping with the novarossi 9901ss pipe!

The bearing sizes are:

front- 7x19x6

rear- 14x25.4x6

The TKO's are a great ceramic replacement bearing and I carry them for this engine. I also carry the TQ engine line so if you are interested in the future, give me a jingle and I will set you up with a nice package. The 9901ss does work very well with this engine and I personally use the 41020 header with the TQ 501T and it works awesome with my modifications. Thanks

If you want to work on the GRP engine then go to the site amainhobbies.com and order the TQ inner parts that will work on the GRP and you do not have to buy a new engine just buy the bearings if that is what you need.:sneaky:

TQ Engine Issues

Okay, I bought one of these engines and it ran great the first few weeks. Last race it left me hangin. Everyone that I know that is running them has had to change the carb to another brand. The carb in this motor gets too hot and vapor locks. I am a little upset that a new engine requires another carb. I tried calling TQ but the number is no longer in service! Someone please advise!!!!

I had this issue once. I had to get my tune straight. The motor was getting too hot. No need for an additional carb. What temps are you running at? I try to keep it at about 210(only if the performance is there, if not I turn it up!) because of the design of the cooling head, the head temps are always going to be cooler than the actual engine temps. my .02 Does it happen in a five minute qualie? or 30 minute main and once it flames I assume you have to let the motor cool before it will fire again?
