Iam from Australia have been using axe engines for a couple of years have had a sport speed and cobra(gold head one) have been working with brad smith the importer, have axe rossi changed there conrod desigin yet because our axe engine ova here have been breaking rods like there made of cheese so we have been using the nova rossi rods in the axe engines and that solves the probolem so i want to know if the rod desigin has been changed or has it been reconditioned from swiss cheese to chedder?

Yes the Rods have been Changed and we have had no problems with rods breaking now that the new ones have come out i have the New Cobra X2 it has 3 gallons on it and the rod looks Great. I am gone to run the rod that is in my X2 just to see how long it takes to get some Slop in it i will let ever one know at how many gallons it take for the rod to go bad.

The old 16008 rods were 10.15mm od diam at the big end the new ones are 10.55mm, The lower part of the rod shaft where it meets the big end is also wider. Martin.

What are the specs on this SERPE Engine? My Axe Rossi Engines have treated me well. I just tuned my Old Mamba yesterday. I had it as a backup engine for two years but I'm going to run it in Buggy this summer. If you have any info the new motor please share.
