When my browser redirects to novarossi.it, I replace the "it" with "com" and the website loads perfectly.

Not much, the page hasn't been updated since December 2019.

Anyone else notice the factory needle settings for the truggy 28-8 makes the engine run lean? HSN set to factory gets the temps up and over 300F. Engine sounds fine, but I'm richening it since I'm not comfortable with those temps. I'm in eastern NC with always high humidity, and right now temps around the 80-100F range.

which carb do you have? There are 3 different lsn settings. I’ve found my 28-8 was pig rich. Maybe you’ve got an air leak?

I'm too lazy to dig through this thread to find the answer but what glow plugs should we use in our novas now? OS, Protek?

So don't use the "factory settings". Factory settings only exist as a starting point that should probably get the engine to start running, but they are by no means guaranteed to make the engine run properly. Except, of course, for that one guy who insists the factory settings have always worked perfectly for him and he's never needed to touch the carburetor -- there's one guy like that in every conversation about carb tuning.

I posted a video in this thread not long ago from RWmods in which he discusses this very issue. os plugs can be used but iirc he suggests adding a shim to compensate for the difference in the threads between os and nova plugs

well i had my second nitro race outing this weekend.
The old but newish 28-8 coupled with the JP-4 did much better on fuel then the 9886/41021 combo
I found that i may have had an air leak somewhere as i was able to get a much nicer tune after replacing all the fuel line.
The losi line i used to replace the dubro colored line seems to have a larger ID and idk if that makes a difference.

Overall though the day was cut short due to an intermittent switch failure but the truck was running fast and came off at about 240deg.
thanks for all the help rc tech haha

Glad your Novarossi is doing well for you. I haven’t posted enough to post links. Try one shot kill switch. I had constant switch problems until this one. It acts like a plug
