Only recommendation.......def get the 9901 pipe. For my driving style it's much better than 2096! 9901 is really smooth. Trust me Try it. I wish I did a long time ago

Its pretty much the P5 with a LCG head and newer 3 needle carb. pipe depends on what you want the motor to do for you. Torque, 9901, smoothness, 2096 or all out RPM 9886.

Imo 2096, smooth n higher top, 9901 for no reason will max out pretty soon, small track maybe suitable

Just to add...9886 also makes more torque then both the 9901 and 2096...... 9886 has the most power from idle to top end... the 2096 has the identical power curve as a 9886 except it has about 20% less power across the entire RPM range......

9901 can scream like a banshee once you put on the 41001 manifold.....its a dud on the 41021

41001 manifold makes a huge amount more power then a 41021, pretty much on every engine but one the 41001 substantially outperforms the 41021

No more Rex 25's at ND.. :( I was so close..

Herrsavage 12-15-2015 06:47 AM

The Legend 28 is the same as the NR 28-7T, yes? Is the Rex 28-8 that much better?

the 28-8 makes a pile more power...the 28-7T is setup more for racing and will get quite a bit better fuel mileage....

They are usually pretty quick at restocking engines, so give them a few days and it should be available again !

Have you done any testing on the new 41031? My experience from port matching (cone it on pipe side) 41021 is that it picks up power.

We couldn't get any good runtime out of Clio p5

KyoshoRed 12-16-2015 04:41 PM

Anyone got some runtime numbers on the Legend 4? If it's more than 10 mins tell me your setup please.

Every single legend 4 I have seen does 10 min pits. Most, if not all, of them were running just what comes installed in it out of the box.

9901 pipe with 41021 header
2058 pipe combos
some other pipe combo as well.

Just got my Paloma Limited today. Thought I'd share the exploded diagram since there is next to nothing out there for info on this engine. The specs the have listed on nova-direct are incorrect, they have it mixed up with the regular blue paloma. Anyway... kinda hard to see but..

89005 Crank- Looks alot like a 15007 or 15009
16800 rear bearing
06000 Microcast piston & 7 port sleeve
07009 Conrod
24069 Carb

The only thing I was real bummed about was the front bearing is a 17004, but for $129 I guess I can't complain. I have an extra 17011 so I'll probably just swap it out for that.
