I don't see anything that says specifically the mito is out of production.

yes it does...it also has a very fancy double slugged and tuned crankshaft... its a very nice engine IMO...

How does it compare to the other 4 ports? Are the porting and timings different or is it the longer stroke that makes the biggest difference?

I was wanting to try one out in my buggy, but then I got thinking about maintenance and what not and the standard .21 Hudy tool wouldn't even work with the 14.5mm bearings would it? Not a deal breaker, but.....

That's weird, just looked 5 mins ago and the Mito 4 is still there.

I Am not sure yet as I have not tested one..... but IMO the crank wont make too much of a difference as the sleeve is still the same sleeve as before and is not really aggressive enough to benefit from the crankshaft...but with that being said the Legend 4 is still a nicer engine then a BTT or Keep-Off 4........... Also it only has a 16.8 mm stroke whereas the Mitro 4 has the 17.6 mm stroke

Neal is there any benefit from a Legend's long 16.8 stroke over the extra long 17.6 stroke from the Mito?

I have a thread asking about longer strokes - and we finally got to the bottom of it towards the end.

It still stands to reason; very few of the Novarossi factory drivers are running the Mito.

As stated in the other topic there is no way to compare unless you have precise the same configured engines. The problem is that engines from a different model are for sure different timed and can have different materials. For sure a 1 degree difference in timing can give a different feeling in an engine and will give a wrong idea about the differences between a long stroke and an xtra long stroke.

Same porting = same output, different crankshaft/stroke = different powerband (delivery).

The elite 5 for $139 is hard to beat if you're going cheap.
