Thanks guys. Houston. Since you are in the pinch buisness (lol, that sounds weird) I just had a 21 4c pinched for the first time by a competitor of yours... Any ways the engine had 8 gallon on it before pinch. I just got it back and did the heat cycle break in. And the motor ran well for a tank and then lost all of its pinch. Have you ever seen that happen? What could be the cause? No dirt in motor clean tank, air filter on.... ect ect. The motor has less pinch ain it then what it had when i sent it in to your competitor. I will see what they say on monday. Just wanted you opinion. -Tim

you will like what the 2096 offers. Very smooth, great top end and mileage. :D

so there is no confusion , i do not pinch anything but my wifes cheeks , any resizing that needs to be done is only sent to rayaracing , you will not find anybody that can come close to what Ray offers , GUARANTEED :tire:

that kinda sucks bro , ray can fix others mistakes , send it in

viva la novarossi!!!

can someone weigh the 2096SS pipe and manifold. mine seems a little heavy. not sure if there's a lot of crud stuck in it or something. As it is, it weighs 130g. I look on the inside through the opening and saw some black crust. last time i ran it, the engine seem to lack top end as if the exhaust is block a little. i switch to a different pipe and the problem goes away.

plug thread

anybody here has knowledge if Nova plug has the same thread as O'Donnel plug? and if O'Donnel plug has the same thread as OS plug? Thank you....

O'Donnell and Novarossi plugs have the same taper. OS has a different taper. The threads are the same, however it is the sealing taper on the bottom of the plug that is different between OS and all other plugs.

Thank you so much. I need this information. :)

It has been proven in numerous threads on here, by people with measuring equipment, that the angle of the taper is EXACTLY the same.
However the contact surface of the angled part of the plug is slightly larger and smaller depending on the brand.

Hence there is NO PROBLEM whatsoever using these plugs in various brands of engines, no problem at all, as long as you do not overtighten the plug.

I wish people would stop perpetuating this myth that the one brand engine can only use this plug etc etc etc. A quick search on this forum will reveal pictures and measurements proving the angle of the taper is the same with OS vs Nova plugs.

The only reason I can see why someone would continue to put forward this myth is that they have lots of expensive plugs of a certain brand that they want to sell and make money off.

I did not say the plugs have a different taper angle, just that the taper itself was different, which even you agree with.

Please do not read into my posts what's not there.

Just wanna make it clear, actually, my friend is asking for my help with his engine this coming weekend and he is using other brand of engine with OS plug. Since I might try other brand of plugs such as O'donnel, RB or even Nova to cure his problem, I do not want to ruin his under head thread. Thank you.

Hi guys,

Got a used modded(ported) toro nero(with pipe and manifold) from a friend, the engine still runs really well, and it's in my mbx7. However, the model nos. on the pipe and manifold seem faded, and it's a bit old and busted so i wanna get a new pipe combo for the toro, what's the best combo for the mugen x7? I've read a lot about the mugen buggy needs a narrower pipe, so wanna ask first before getting the wrong one.
Oh, btw, the engine's run time per tank is kinda low at a bit more than 7 minutes, is this normal? And i hope the pipe combo you guys will advice can give me more run time.

Thanks a lot for any help i can get.

7 minutes doesn't sound bad to me, ppl drive differently, coupled with a good clutch setup and less tire spin you'll gain more run time. I drive mines like and electric vehicle and always suffer from low low mileage. I don't think any pipe combo is gonna equal this magic number for run time. This weekend I'm gonna force myself to drive with some sense in order to gain more mileage.

I used to run a short header and a 9901 pipe on Toro in Truggy and found it was pretty good.... good run times from that pipe no worries and you more than likely should be seeing more than 7.5 mins but that could be from a possible mismatched pipe set been ran but as jaron_cc said run time depends on so many variables its not funny

You don't need the narrow header on the MBX7 just the normal 41021 short header :)
