I know there hasn’t been much posted on here lately about the engines but just wanted to report after some testing this weekend. I still have 4 running Novas and 3 new in box along with piston, sleeve & conrod rebuilds for all; so Novas will not be dead to me anytime soon lol.

I purchased a Keep off 4 with 3 gallons on it and paired it with the Hipex L50/2135 evo 3. It ran pretty good with decent power overall but it did get a little hotter then I liked. I tried it this weekend with the 41021/2096 and 41021/086 combos. The 2096 was my favorite with great power band, runtime and temps. Feel the engine likes this combo the best in buggy.

In truggy I went with my P5XL with Hipex L50/2135 evo 2. Again I felt like it had decent power but felt like it was lacking a little. Wasn’t making the greatest runtime and also got hotter then I like. I paired it with the long header 41020 and an Ofna 086. Wow, this is what is being used in truggy. Had crazy bottom end and screamed down the straight. Was even with another truck that had mito 7 and 41021/2096 combo on straight but I definitely had more bottom end. Loving pombo and definitely recommend in truck. Also got almost 11 mins to the tank.

Out of curiosity has anyone else noticed inconsistencies with Novarossi's most recently produced engines? For example two of the same engines have a different cooling head color or conrod has no markings on it. Oddly also noticed that RCGIMAR out of Italy produces their own line of engines in which some of the components are labeled Novarossi. I'm I missing something here?

In my opinion Novarossi has used the last year before Covid and the beginning of Covid the stock material from everything they already had produced. The Flash PXT was using a RB head as a good example and also did use an xtra long stroke crankcase seen by the sleeve center pin in the crankcase.. Sad enough also the weak piston material normally used in the low end engines also popped up in the high end engines, these engines lost comperssion after a few liters of use...

GiMar did not produce own engines, they were just Novarossi made. They have bought up many stock parts so several weird 2020/2021 models Novarossi models seemed they were made by Gimar. But the new Gimar engines are now as many others OS based.... But you can contact GiMar for parts, they could have that part what you are looking for.

As mentioned above Gimar used Novarossi engines as a base and modifies/d them. I shop from them often and they have parts for their Gimar labeled engines.

Thanks for the clarification, it makes sense now. I'm glad I was lucky enough to get my hands on a few Nova engines before they shut down. Hopefully I won't have issues with the piston materials, speaking of the piston materials do you know if the C and G wrist pin clips are interchangeable? I plan on changing out a conrod in the near future and have some extra C clips laying around but no G style clips.

You can always use a G clip insteado of a C clip. A C clip in stead of a G clip will heve some issues when you want to take it out due the missing dimp next to the wristpin hole. It can be taken out by a very sharp knive tip....

Hi , I was wondering if someone can help me out.
iIrecently took out my associates Rc10GT that has a Novarrosi cx-12 in it. Unfortunately the plug is bad , it is a Novarrosi c4s I think. I have searched all over the place looking for a replacement or equivalent. Only to find contradicting arguments. I was wondering if something from lrp or protek could fit these engines? Or some other alternative that I could use?

Just get a medium-heat glowplug from whatever brand your hobby shop has in stock, and start there. If you can't tune the engine lean enough to keep it from choking to death without having it start overheating instead, switch to a colder plug. If you can tune the engine so lean it fuel-starves but still doesn't get up to full operating temperature, switch to a hotter plug.

I always ran the McCoy's MC-8 plugs in that engine. Don't believe they're available any more but you might find some being auctioned off somewhere. Had a little longer shank than the OS plugs for the CV, CV-R etc. and you want that for the NR engine.

since we are talking glow plugs I have a p5 motor and need a p6 or equivalent, but I don't know what the equivalent is, any help would be appreciated it is a turbo plug

There is a lot of reading about this out there. If you watch YouTube at all rajaa111 has a video where he says there is another Italian company called tca that makes plugs that’s are the same as the Novarossi ones. You can get them at bonesmotorsports.com I’m going to order some and see how they work.

Interesting as Have heard the same elseware.

Because someone says they are the same does not mean they are the same.... For surethere are some visual differences with the original Novarossi plugs.

I think we are all smart enough to know that just because someone says something doesn’t make it true. That’s why I said I’m going to order some to try out for myself.

its either onroad or a gt engine that exhaust port has a shit ton of timing. its also not chromed yet either

break-in went amazingly. Super crisp idle, smooth power and screaming top end. Have to give JQ credit on his carburetor tuning video. No better resource out there for tuning. Noticed some oil spitting at the manifold/pipe seal, that’s a new one for me!

Considering ordering 2 of these engines but we all know the C6TGC can no longer be found. I'm sure this question has been asked before but what alternative are people using in place of those turbo glow plugs?

Anyone know the part number for Adam drake 5tcl nova piston, rod, sleeve. Hope to find online.

Can't you just use just about any other 16.26x16.80mm Nova piston sleeve kit for that 21 plus crankcase?

I believe the Drake does use the RB conrod, that has a slight bigger crakpin, but the standard R7 rod can be made to fit easily.
