I asked the same question a few pages back but got no reply, I was interested in what sort of gains if any you get with the option carby, doest seem to be many or anyone that has tried it, someone correct me if im wrong.

This composite carburetor was designed to perfect the changes in engine crankcases 2012 Novarossi PLus 4BTT and Bonito. Work on improving the dynamic flow admission was on the cover, but also on a carburetor adapted to modern engines.

Current carbs are a 9mm throat without insert right? Personally I like the 8mm insert which does not harm mileage what so ever for me. Others may vary.

7mm on the underside/fuel exit of the carb

There are a few different specs between 24069 & 24063 carbs , apparently there is a minutely different needle on the new 24065 also

I guess i could order one or two , man they aint cheap though , ugghhh

i like the way it sounds, but why not just include with motors if its to improve on there up-design? i mean, for guys who like to run modded motors< hu hmmm> what does this do to the tuning? cant just grab this and throw on a modded motor, as im sure its a game changer,guess the answer is to wait and let the modders get em,GET TO WORK!! and than retune the motors...rc def EVOLVES...lol..that being said, i want one..dammit!:cool:

I'm gonna wait. Unless someone verifies it can push a well balanced engine past 15 minutes. Right now we're seeing the ability to pit at 12 minutes...not run dry at 12 but pit at 12. Have not tried this during race conditions though.

Actually we haven't even tried during practices but that will change next race we go to. He he he

I've asked Adam Drake what he thinks of the new carburator. Might take weeks before he replies.

Really I have a BTTa with almost three gallons and still has slight metal pinch at the top of stroke but now it's only when the motor is cold so it's almost broke-in. I was even surprised when I turned over the motor and felt it pinch at almost three gallons but that usually means that it will last and perform good. I always preheat and never run overly rich or lean but everybody has their own method and do whatever works for you. I also have a Nitrotec which took 2 gallons to break-in but I do run about a 1/2 gallon thru my Novas before I race them at all and I have got at least 8 gallons thru the Nitrotec and still has good compression hope my BTTa has similar lifespan! Got to love Novarossi not a single flameout during a race in almost a year!

Hey guys, I have a Roma 25 coming this Thursday and I'm trying to find a review on it..I am really struggling to find one anywhere. I'm really excited about this engine and would love to read someone else's report on it. Also I would like to know the preferred break in process for the novas. I believe the heat cycle will be the answer. As I have done my last four motors this way.

:DIts FAST! Ran mine for the first time last weekend at our regional pro series race in my truggy and its a very powerfull smooth mill. I ran it a tad bit rich and was still able to pit at 10:30 during the main. I don't think you'll need more power:D I was really impressed with it. The rpm's just kept on climbing.

My modified Roma is a total hoot ! very fun engine to run !

So did you just use the heat cycle process for initial run in?
