It was horrible on the fms. Now to be fair it was altered by EB Mods to help out the lackluster bottom end they have. On my modded version the 9853/41005 was really good, 9886/41021 better, losi RE10 was best. These 3 pipes were very close. The 9901 was so bad the fms hit a plateau halfway down the straight and the beauty of that engine is it's topend. If you want some good info on that engine pm me cuz i'm not getting into a pissing match on the forums.

The 2013 pipe seems to run very well with mine. With great runtimes

I spent the day yesterday swapping pipes & manifolds on the JL.21 CRE Mod. The pipes tested were. (Tested on HB D8T) M2C Clutch w/ (2) 1.0's & (2) 1.05's with a half loaded flywheel. Track is med size with 50% loam & 50% hard clay.

Werks 2057
Werks 2013
Jp-4
Jp-3
Jp-2
Jp-1
Dym 086
Dym 053

Out of those pipes the Jp-2 was hands down the best pipe. It makes the most power everywhere and it was very noticeable. Run times @ 10 Mins temped @ 203.

I love this motor!! I prefer it over my B5 CRE Mod, Speed, and Reedy. Can't say enough about this motor.

I am going to get one of these for next season. I am sick of paying for v-specs when I only club race.

Great test! :-)

Which headers did you try? Houston has "talked" about different shapes ) and ] can have a rather huges effect on different engines.

I haven't really played with the headers yet, (weather is getting cold here) If we get a day or two of nice weather I plan on spending a day fooling around with headers. I will keep you posted

Thanks

Look forward to hear from you.

I'll also try different headers (in april or may next year ) . I've Novarossi 41001, 41021 and will get 41021, stock NOSRAM and the original Hong Nor (similar to Novarossi 41021)

And of course allways looking for other pipes, if the prize is right

Its a pretty simple thing actually. The ] shaped headers will give you more low end punch and slightly better run times. The ) shaped headers have more top end and slightly less run time. It has something to do with the way the blowback has to bounce off those corners or something. Most people prefer the ] shape only because we all know its torque/acceleration and low end that wins races.

Hi Jaz

Thanks. Then I've to get an 41005 too

If I remember correct, Monty Houston wrote something about the ] could make an engine run leaner in some RPM areas.
