my s852 set tq today.. FIRST EVER TQ for me or my truck, i also broke the 19sec lap time mark. Main came around, and i lost a center cvd set screw, got another one on made it 3-4 more laps and it happened again so i gave up with a min left... fin 4th over all!

buggy has about 6 tanks on it, F850 is going to scream, started getting up to 1/2 throttle down the straight... and boy is it already fast!

Out of the F850 and the S852, which has more top end?

honestly... if you want revving to the moon rpm range,

the Green head is the way to go..

but ALL three engines are SCREAMERS! its funny telling people how much i paid for my orange head and they are like i cant even get a nova for that price... and its still under even if you buy it with the pipe set..

it would be really awesome to put together a package deal like some of the go techs are doing..
Alpha plus engine(with all its normal stuff, but also include the a plus 0801 all in one box!

i am so happy i droped the F850 in my buggy..
but i might race with it in my truggy next weekend just to start getting fuel through it.

Yes they have.. And while it was considered good by some, it wasn't well recieve by all, and the 0801 seems to be the only agreed upon pipe by everyone..

yeah, i knew the Z852 is the top end monster, but out of the F850 and the S852 what wich would have the most top end in a buggy. I i have a F850 already, and im thinking of grabbing another alpha, but my home track doesnt have a massive straight atm to utilise the Z852

thanks

the f850 is a good choice.. S852 just has a bunch of bottom end that i hated in buggy. to me it felt like a .28 and i wanted no part of it after 1/2 a lap on the track.

Hi Krupt, how long is your straight? I've have only ran a S852, but I've read the F850 has more top end. If you don't have a long straight, I can't imagine you needing more top end. On my S852 we have a fairly long straight at a track I've run and the motor still has room to accelerate at the end. I still haven't been able to wind the motor out full speed at any of our tracks.

Like everyone says the S852 has a huge bottom end. And its got MORE than enough top end IMO. When I dropped it in with my old clutch setup, every time the clutch engaged the buggy would lunge forward making it pretty much undriveable.

I put in softer clutch springs and 1 tooth up on my clutch bell and it smoothed it out on the bottom. The torque is still there, it's just not as abrupt. I'm finally getting 10 mins on a tank too since I hardly have to use ANY throttle on the infield. Most jumps and short straights are just 1/4 to 1/2 throttle blips and let off at the face of the jump. Its feels ALMOST like an electric 8th scale on the bottom. I think if you're driving style is with a smoother trigger on the bottom you'll like the S852.
