picco
Adam,
I just recently bought another jammin x2 crt with 1/2 gallon runtime on everything. Truggy came as an rtr. The engine it came with is a Picco .28 modded by you. I heated the engine up to aprox 140 deg. just so I could feel how much compression it had. It is still so tight I can barely turn it over by hand and looks brand new. Can you tell me a starting point on the hsn & lsn before I try to fire it and a good plug.
Thanks !

The Piccos do have a VERY tight pinch there no doubt about that!
You can give the factory settings a try. HSN is flush and LSN 10.5-11.5 turns out. Of course you are going to have to tune these for the pipe your running and weather etc. But this should get the engine started as this is how they come from the factory.

I mounted a dyn 086 pipe to start with. The engine came with a few extra picco #7 plugs. Is this plug to cold ? Thanks for the needle settings, should get me started in the right direction. I am not to familiar with the Picco engines. I have been running the GRP and Nova engines the last few yrs. Thanks for the help.

The 7 is a cold plug and may work very well for you. I would give it a shot since you have a few and see how it does. If the engine is finicky to idle settings then i would step up a to a medium heat range #6.

Same ol here Bob. I have been staying busy doing what i do... Modifying RC Engines and tuning full scale car engines.
I'm really looking forward to the new season. Our local track Asylum Extreme is getting a new layout and its going to be off the chain! So im really looking forward to getting out there and checking it out and of course watching all my team drivers tear it up this year!!
