2035 from Associated or Thunder Tiger

My B5 looks and runs very well in my 808. It was just as good in my X6 and the MP9. You will be very happy.

I have been using the 2013 Werks pipe. So far this pipe has made stupid amounts of power for me, however my car is a bit hard for me to hold onto. This week, I am going to try the extech baseball bat. I am of the understanding it will tone the motor down a notch and help with fuel mileage. I will let you guys know what I think. My fuel mileage has been in the 9 minute range and I would like to see that go up. I am running indoors in 30F weather. The motor is only running about 170 or so degrees. I really dont see how I can lean it out anymore without my car becoming an outtacontrol rocketship. So far, no flameouts and runs well on 30% Werks fuel.

Thanks

Adam

Alex, glad that your liking the engine! If it has too much power try limiting the throtel opening. Say to 75-80% to start off with. This will limit the top end and allow you to lean the engine down to race tune. Both o which will help improve the run time like you are looking for. At the same time if you ever find that you need more power during the race you can easily click the end point adjustment up a bit while driving, giving you that extra power that you need. I would try this first before swapping the pipe. If you do go the 2056 (baseball bat) pipe please be carefull. The extech version is a chineese knock off and inhave heard from a lot of people about the internal baffle coming loose. This alters the back pressure potentialy causing it to run lean resulting in a toasted motor. Just an FYI but given the options after trying to limit the throtell opening I would probably try a 2057 if you still want to tame it down. Hope this helps!

Regards,

Ron

I run the extech 2013 and I was disappointed that it doesn't have that distinctive sound that I remember the werks pipe having. Anyone else think this or am I imagining things?

Honestly I don't know where the other Trinity pipe is made but it stands to reason that I they wold have one made in Asia they would have the other made there too. Especially if as you mentioned it sounds different it would lead me to believe that the internal baffle configuration is different, so it also probably performs different too. For those waiting on a 2013 I'm happy to say that the new versions have been shipped and are clearing customs now. I would expect a-main to have them in stock (along with a fresh batch of B5's) by Wednesday! My appolagies about this project taking so long to hit the stores but I wanted to make sure everything was done right prior to releasing them which sometimes takes a little longer than expected!

Regards,

Ron

Not a problem, thank you for the patience and obviously for choosing to use our products!

By the way the post a couple up about limiting the throttle opening etc was for Adam not Alex! Sorry about that, another instance of the iPhone auto correcting spelling changing things around lol! Hope the tips help a bit!

871, no pics yet the changes to the pipe are solely to improve durability. Performance is already good! The appearance is not realy going to change much as we have increased the wall thickness of the pipe (to reduce the likelyhood of dings) and braced the stinger making it much less likely to be bent if hit or ran up against the pipes.
