hehe thanks both of you. I used this chopped off part from a papermate pen. Its slightly wider than that part so the part on table standing up, the pen part with oring on top with wider part touching the carb retainer and slide the ring pas the pen and it goes right on.

The Pro engine has a ceramic rear bearing, lightened and silicon filled crank, black case, billet rear back plate and a 5% lighter cooling head. It rev's a bit faster, has a bit more top end, is a bit more fuel efficient, feels a bit more punchy etc. etc. It is not night and day different but it is a step up from the standard engine.

so alex in your opinion do think it would be worth spending 80.00 more for the pro version? Thanks very much for input.

I am new to nitro so I went with the cheaper one. That way if I end up destroying that engine with bad tuning and general lack of experience in nitro, that 80 bucks goes to a new engine .

I would say the average is about 9 gallons at full race tune. In regards to your second question, there are 570 pages on the B5 thread trust me when I say that is not because it is junk

This will seem like a noob question. I run the xb9 stock gearing. I am planning to run it overdrive style for the fronts like the xray 808 series. So now it is 40T front and back bevels. I will be running 40T front and 43T rear so the fronts overdrive.

Question is will this badly affect the motor, like get it over hot or so. I know that 4 pole motors hate being spun without enough load and get overheated. Is it the same here as well, or will it just be a leaner tune to balance it out the lesser work the engine has to do?

Imo, I doubt that overdrive gearing would have an adverse effect on your engine. I ran over/underdrive gearing for a few gallons last year, and i didn't notice any overheating issue. Temp and humidity will affect your tune more than any change in load from overdriving.

Your center diff will thin out quicker, since the internals will be constantly working and heating up the fluid when all 4 wheels are on the ground.

Right I switch out the center diffs a lot anyways. And with overdrive any car steers like a @$^$%^@ Love the way that drives for twisty bits.
