The New Werks B5 .21 Racing Engine
#7501
Hi again,
I was wondering when the engine is cold, how much resistance should there be? I went from complaining about how tight it is to now,it's not difficult at all to turn over. The performance is really good @this point. I just wonder if I could have done a better break in because its about 1 gallon and a quart run through.
TBH - after about 3 quarts I just treated her like normal. Should there be a decent amount of cold engine hand turnover or pretty easy?

funny thing about the B5's......when the'ye in their sweet spot, and cold, the go past the "thump" spot kinda easily...almost seems like there is something wrong. BUT, let me tell ya...........there is nothing wrong and it will scream like crazy. i've got three B5's that i race with at the barn and wolcott and not a single one has ever failed me....even though the "turn over" rather easily............as long as the pinch is history, you're ready to go....just remember the BDC rule eash and every time you shut it down. and i ALWAYS stop my engines by pinching off the fuel line.........

I hope to get 3 gallons minimum, 4 to be happy and 5+ gallons to be a definate returning customer.
Coming from a TRX 2.5 sportmaxx it seems I havent gotten the tuning down pat 100% yet. A guy at the track who owns B5's also - tuned my engine in like 5 minutes very well and it stuck for a week. So I know this engine can hold a tune which is important to me.
