My personal choice if i had to choose would be the 053. These cars with the right tires(soft and sticky) can be driven real hard, they have way more rear traction then the off road buggies do on. A .28 even a B7 pro shouldnt be that hard to drive, maybe u should look at your setup and tires if its that difficult to control. Also your not gonna lose any top with a B5 compared to a B7 pro, the B7 pros are awesome but dont rip on top like the B5's and 6's do..... I have had several of the B7 Pro-C's with 2013 and 3014 pipe.
no, it's not that hard to control. I do pretty good with it. I just wanted the power where I could use it more, a little less on the bottom end with more mid and top end power. I agree that the setup needs to be right and the cars really come to life. I have be improving my setup week by week and have been placing 1st or 2nd in our group of about 12 guys. Like I said I would actually get the .28 if it was available, but since it isn't (from werks) I was looking for options because I have have been very happy with this engine.

I appreciate all your help. I'll let you know what I think of the B5 after I get some track time with it.

What is a decent plug to run on the B5? On amains site they state the P3, which is the best? I have P3s so would love to run those.
Thanks!

P3s will work. OD 97Ts work good as well. Werks #5 plugs I like best though.

You don't have to run the same brand plug as the motor. I've run the 97T and the P3 with great results on the B5. It's not as if an OS plug is going to blow up a Werks motor. You'll be fine, your tune is most important.

OS and OD plugs are nowhere near as good as the Werk's in the Werk's engine...sure you can ram any plug into any engine and make it work, but its not going to work as good or tune as nicely.......And in the case of a modifed Werk's yes a OD or OS can ruin the engine as the coils are nowhere near as durable and quite prone to dropping out into the engine...

I agree but there is one problem. Star plugs (Werks, Sirio, etc.) are the best on the planet. Maybe the original GRP Ninja can match it but that's about it. I even run the Star made plugs in Nova onroad motors (very hard on plugs) and NOTHING lasts longer or runs better. So, if you are running a Star based motor, why not run the plug that not only fits perfectly but is also the best?

Oh I know, OD's are cheap and do run very good but what's cheaper, a $5 plug or a $9 that lasts twice as long?

Plus, not every plug and engine combo works. Try running a Nova plug in an OS. You WILL end up with a leaking head.

I also like Picco plugs very much...they also last well and can handle high compression with no issues.....

As do I. Since Nova plugs went down the tubes I would say they are my third favorite behind Star and original GRPs (if you can find the darn things). Haven't had a chance to try the newer GRPs yet but I hear they aren't what they used to be. Joaquin says the Nova plug problems have been fixed but haven't dared to find out yet.
