Ron;
Thanks. I bought a new B5 and B6 with Werks pipes and clutches for my buggy and truggy. I Have not even got them all or put them in yet and I already love Werks! You been awesome already. After talking to CJ Weaver at the track and listening/watching his cars run, I knew Werks was for me. CJ was a big help in telling what to order for which car. I can not wait to run my buggy and truggy with the new set-ups. Thanks Mitch

in the past 7 years of racing I ran os vz, os speed, rb, grp, novarossi, ninja, and my last engine was werks b5. Best engine I ran hands down. Just waiting to amain to have the b6 to buy it. Its no the money that wins, its a good chasis setup and confident engine combine with a good strategy. Could not imaging this engine with ceramic bearings!!!!!!!!!

Glad you like the motor. I believe Ron shipped out the B6s to A-Main on Friday so you should have it by the end of the week or at the beginning of next week.

I'm looking for a used B5 carb. If anyone has one they are not needing, PM me please. Thanks.

Might I ask why? Maybe we can get the other one sorted out? Or...are you just building another motor from parts?

bacchus, good catch on the loose plug! As you can see it's the little things that cause people to have issues with the engine. Usually they end up getting pissed at the "problem motor" lol when it's not even the motors fault! Again good move catching the issue and I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the performance once you got it sorted!

Thanks. I knew there wasn't anything major wrong its been running great. It took all of five minutes to diagnose and fix.

Every Weekend i strap up the B5 in the truggy thinking this is going to be its last weekend and I'm gonna have fire up my reserve B5 (been running said motor since Winter 09' stop counting gallons after first case) Motor just continues to get the job done. This is probably the best truggy motor I have ever run... Great power for Truggy... easy operation and did I say POWER..... All for $199.95. Brings a tear to my eye:cry:... Those are tears of joy:lol:

The B5 is good in the truggy huh? Cause I just picked up an MBX6T and was thinking about what to run in it - already got the B5 in a buggy with a 2013 an it's awesome. It's even more awesome when I'm beating $400 mills, knowing I can buy 2 B5's for that price! Tears of joy indeed!

Thanks for the info Ron, that helps a lot. I'm not too worried about increasing my run time (or should I be @ 7 mins/tank??), I find it has a lot to do with driving style and knowing when and when not to push the buggy. I was only getting about 5 mins/tank when I first started but got it up to 7 just by changing the way I drove...God blessed me with a very heavy left index finger! :lol:

Have to agree! and I just tried the 44t spur today and it is a magic match with the B5 in the 6T:nod:

If I can make a suggestion it would be to pick up a B6. Put your B5 in the truggy and put the B6 in your buggy. With the B5 combo in the 6T you should be looking at an easy 10 minutes. Putting the B6 in buggy should gain you an easy 1 1/2 to 2 minutes of run time and if you work on driving smoooth you should be able to go 10 with it also. Just a suggestion!

Regards,

Ron

Lol, it's amazing how long these engines will go if you tune them properly, maintain your air filter and use good fuel! I told you guys back when I started this thread that Kortz was regularly getting 7-9 gallons out of a P/S set under full race tune and I think that you are seeing that this is true!
