It doesn't get the coolness factor like the 2013(me and mo area all about the cool sounding pipes...LOL) But he said he went 13 minutes with the pipe... which is key b/c they are running 10 minute quals.

And apparently things are going good for him at the SIC race. During practice he is in the top 3 cars as far as fastest so far...

Thanks Smitty,

I appreciate the the effort! Looks like I'll be picking one up...now if I can just find one in stock somewhere.

Question: Was he using the long or short header? Thanks!

Hmmm, depends on what you want... With all the overall power that the B5has I prefer the re11 bc of the fuel milage. Mo I think would tell you different, but his opinion is alot better then mine bc I havnt run both pipes and he has...

has anyone here mounted a 2013 pipe on a MBX-6?
How does it fit?
I'm looking at the B5 and the 2013 seems to be the hot pipe but i noticed it has a specific header with 4 springs !!
This is the only thing stoping me from getting this engine I also have a 2060 and a 9901 What are the results with these?

it'll fit your moogen, don't worry. it's pretty standard... i use two reqular springs... they're easier to find... the 4 short springs are cool, but hard to find... you can totally use the normal springs, and i use 2 cuz i have 2 sets of holes in my header.

try the b5 you'll love it. 2013 is no bigger or smaller than anything else

I use the GRP manifold springs, they work great for the B5! AMain. has them in stock! The kit comes with 4 short springs for around $10.

I haven't made enough posts yet to put a link but if you look under Engine Parts for the GRP.21, you'll see the springs!

Ok, I hope you're right, I noticed a Losi in your avatar lol
The problem is not with the pipe itself but the header...
Some headers barely fit under the body on the Mugen 6...

Scot Stoffer can answer the MBX-6 questions. I know he ran the b5 in his mbx6 and also ran it with a 2013. So, I know it's possible to get it in the car just not sure if he ran the same header that came with the pipe or not... I actually think he posted his info about the pipes with his mugen a couple pages back... just look through here and you'll find the info your looking for...

The 9901 has been run on this engine and was posted on the last page... Check it out. I posted the info and working on the final details on the header that was used as we speak.

the 2060 is along the lines of the re-11 (I know the re-10 is the losi version of the 2060) but the performance will be close... IT isn't ab ad pipe to have on the engine. Just not the best combo to some drivers. But it does get good gas milage as expected...

2013 fits in the X6 with the stock header (at least the Werks version does). You will have to give the header the right bend and it might take a couple of tries to get it right.
