The New Werks B5 .21 Racing Engine
#1742
If you are comfortable adjusting deck height through trial and error (slowly lowering it and checking for signs of detonation and continuing to do so until you do) then by all means go for it. If you are not comfortable doing this then I would recommend that you just leave deck height where it is and run 30% fuel which the engine is set up for from the factory.

Hey Ron, I just ordered a B5 and 2013 from my LHS for the coming season. He ordered it from HRP but told me it was back ordered. Any idea when more motors and pipes are going to ship to HRP?
Thanks

Hey Andrew, thanks for ordering one of our engines! I would think TNT we should have them stocked up again around the end of next week, possibly the begin of the week after. Hope this helps!

UPS is delivering this bad boy today. I wont be home until tomorrow. Cant wait to get home to open the garage and see a nice new shiny engine sitting on my work bench.
Going to clutch it and block it up Wednesday night for a Thrusday break in. Neighbors are going to be pissed.

OK, for all of you that have been patiently waiting........the pipes are here! We just sent a bunch of the new 2010 versions of the 2013's and 2057's to A-main!!! UPS will be dropping them off tomorrow there and should be showing back in stock in their system by tomorrow afternoon or the day after at the latest!

Yes Ron I got the other carb. It does it also. But ive done alot of playing around and think I have it narrowed down. First off im running the JR 9100s in my Losi. Have to use the 1/4 inch spacer to keep it from banging on the pan. Lifts it pretty high. Now since Im not having the prob with the 2010 Ive kinda come to the conclusion that really the only 2 differences in the carbs are the material there made of and the o-ring on the 2010 carb. So I think the next time I run the comp. carb im going to run a o-ring at the base. My thoughts being that if it is raising the carb just enough to get a better alighnment, that could possibly stop the binding. The other thing I noticed, is it only hung up when it was warm. When cold no hanging up at all. Alls I know is you have been more than helpful in this matter and you have a customer for ever. For that matter I just got my buddie to buy a B5 last night. The other thing that is cool is that when one of the experts come up to you and say you got more speed than anybody on the track, you just have to learn how to control it now. makes you feel pretty good .... Buy the way he runs a b5 too. Thanks again Ron

Yea Steve, Hood told me that Sun. when we were out there. He couldnt beleive that it was only runnin 220. That was my old one with comp carb. I personally think the 2010 is even faster............. Now I have to learn even more control lol
