I was only temping the motor to make sure it isn't running way too hotm and I'm temping while the motor is still running. I was at 3/4 on top and 1 turn on bottom, and it was getting there. Running p3, Byrons30, and Dynamite 086. I gotta say that even with an off-tune this motor hauls especially on the bottom end.

bboard iv seen guys temp like a pit stop then let the engine idle for 30 sec and and temped again and it has already cooled 20 degrees very fast cooling at idle and shut off. thats what i was trying to tell ya. but just go easy with the needles you may find out by the time you find the sweat spot the low spead needle may be in alot further then you would think.

What are the starting points on the needles?

All the carb needles were flush out of the box, after a full turn all around the motor is still rich, and the motor is only temping at 200* after a tank. I dont want to go to far in, is this normal?

Jesse is correct for the box settings, let use know if you need more help.

I had one of these motors this season and loved it but am curious is there plans for a counterweighted crank version? I only asked because this motor had just a little more punch on the bottom end for my taste. I was also curious if anyone know but would a steel flywheel have the same affect as a "balanced" crank?

YES! :) the .23 Full Mod version will have a tungsten weighted, balanced crank. :D
this crank will be available as a part for the .23 FM and will work VERY GOOD in any of the current JS/EBMods engines. :tire::tire:
