This is going to be my next motor and I am going to start with the 2013, I think this will work. Thanks for the imput. Alessi and Peter try the new Werks or Orion 2013 not the china Extec 2013 but the Italian 2013 you should have started with this pipe:D

Sprinkler 02-02-2010 11:31 AM

I put the first couple tanks thru mine last night. Breaking it for my son for Motorama. I have the 7mm restrictor in w/ the 086 pipe. Very nice so far.

The Sirio EFRA 2056 seems to bear references to the 2013 pipe (atleast it does on the Amain website). Does any of you guys know if using the 2056 will work out as good as the 2013?

To attend most races in Europe, pipes need to be EFRA approved and rumour has it that anything "below" 2039 will not be approved this season.

So basically, what we'd be looking for is a newer pipe with performance similar to the 2013?

Thanks for the info on this subject. It's really helpful.

I have never used after run oil, anyone have thoughts on using it with this engine?

the 2041 is the recommended efra pipe, or the 2071

cjm1126 02-03-2010 09:12 AM

ebmods makes a good after run oil it dosent mess up silicone in crank, if you are gonna let it sit for a few weeks or longer its a good idea to run it out of fuel and after run it

You don't really need to use after run if you run your cars often. If you know it's going to sit for few week its not a bad idea to use some after run, but make sure you use the ebmods AFO to assure that the oil is safe for the silicone in the crank.

Would any EFRA 2041 pipe work, for example this one the "Reckward Tuning 3.5cc EFRA 2041 Chrome Inline Tuned Pipe" or just the EB Mods?

Do the EFRA number indicate that it's basically the same pipe?

Thanks
Jacob

I like the JS better then the speeds. All around great engine.:D

PM sent. Robert send me an email if you have a chance.

Thanks alot, both of you :)

Do you know when the 2041 EB Mods pipe will be available. I mean, driving a full modded EB Mods JS Engine I would (of course) prefer to use an EB Mods pipe to make sure I unleash the full potential of the beast:batman:

Anyway, thanks a lot guys. Our (Khaliffen and I) race, which is really just a practice warm up, will go do down on the 21 Feb. Looking forward to giving some feedback on the performance on the engine.

Have a nice weekend.
Jacob

jbright33 02-06-2010 04:30 PM

not shure on a date but im gonna say prob 3 weeks till a month maybe sooner though. I know edds been very busy with keeping up with the demand of the motors and his fuel everyone thats seen them run or ran them wants one lol.

hambone 02-06-2010 05:10 PM

The 9886 short manifold combo is way much on my buggy. Wild motor pipe combo. I was at ed's yesterday, new dyno king is the losi re10 pipe. Almost identical power curve exept on top where it is even better than 9886. I have a feeling that the best pipe is yet to be found. Excellent motor!

jbright33 02-07-2010 05:06 PM

i raced my full mod tonight in my d8 and it was off the hook. was running it rich in my first heats i had tq but lost it :( . so before the main edd and me leaned it out a little and omg it was screaming and i was running the 7.5 carb insert 8 min main and still had 1/4 tank with plenty more room to lean out so should be getting around 10 minutes run times easly when leaned out.

if the re10 is the dyno monster i want see the ninja os pipe run. it make the most power out of any pipe i have ever seen.

ya bud what pip did you use? I have been running around the frount yard with my js fully moded motor in my losi 2.0T with the jp-3 and it looks like it a winer to me.

jbright33 02-07-2010 06:38 PM

was running dynamite 086. theres alot of pipes that will work good with this motor. edd said that almost everypipe he tested work one way or another just all depends on if you want a high hitting bottom or a medium or a big top end.

would love to have a hard hitting bottom end pip with over 10 min run time, what do you think?

morris 02-07-2010 07:52 PM

just got my race prep today...looking forward to running it very soon.

id stick with the 086 then. try experimenting with the carb inserts. even with the #8 in you should definitly get over 10 mins in truggy as i did 8 mins today in my buggy with over1/4 tank left with the 7.5 insert. but this was on a short track but truggy should be able to get 11-12 mins

jbright33 02-07-2010 10:03 PM

^^^ oh and my temps were only around 190 maybe 200 at most

jbright33 02-07-2010 10:05 PM

joe how did you do at the race?

shanty140 02-08-2010 12:33 AM

I am looking hard at this engine for my 6T and was wondering if someone can clear this up for me. I believe I read somewhere that you have to run this engine with EB mods fuel. Now is this true, I now there is a chance the run time won't be as good, higher temps, etc etc using a different fuel. The fuel I will be running will either be O'Donnell or Sidewinder. So if anyone can clear this up for me that would be great.

Thanks

Chris Reilly 02-08-2010 12:53 AM

I'm guessing Ed would like you to run his fuel. But you can run what ever fuel you want. OD would be my choice. Would like to try the Prototype Sidewinder fuel.

Sprinkler 02-08-2010 05:37 AM

I ran my JS at a race yesterday for the first time in my MBX6. I really loved the engine. Very Easy to tune, smooth power and plenty of it. Temps never got over 190 and I was able to run 11+ minutes on a tank of fuel.
BTW...I am running the stock engine, w/ 7mm restrictor and the Dynamite 086pipe.

Frank L 02-08-2010 06:13 AM

Wow 190?? Most engines spit raw fuel out of the carb at 190. Is that just how these engines run? I haven't heard of temps like that since the old grp's

jbright33 02-08-2010 06:58 AM

you can run other fuels but it might hurt your fuel milage and power and your motor might not last as long.

Sprinkler 02-08-2010 07:50 AM

My Ninja JX-21's don't run over 200 degrees either and I have good fuel mileage. It all depends on where you are at and the tune on the engine and the fuel you run.
I run the EB Mods fuel only!!!

Peter Martin 02-08-2010 08:53 AM

9 to 10 minutes with Sidewinder Prototype fuel. Temps...same range.

jbright33 02-08-2010 09:12 AM

i could have leaned mine out more yesterday but it was plenty enough power was pulling away from nova 21-4c on the streight away

C2 Motorsports 02-08-2010 01:57 PM

Just ran the full mod engine for the 2nd time, the same race as John mentioned above. Running 2050 pipe and sidewinder prototype fuel, ran 10 minute fuel stops with no problem. Motor has lots of power and my temps never got above 215. I've already ordered my 2nd motor !!!

Thats the same as a OS 2050 ? maybe try a OS 2060 run times should go up with better mid to top end ?
