Default consistency issue

I ran My JS race Prep this weekend and got some inconsistent temps.

Heat 1 250*
Heat 2 225
Heat 3 250
20 Min Main came off @ 225

I did NOT touch either needle the whole night and the air temps were gradually dropping from 90* early eve to an 83* for main. Engine runs fine. Is a bit of a fuel hog, but i figure thats due to the 97T plug i had in it ( no choice)

IS this normal ?

has the Dynamite 086 pipe in a AE truggy with JC punisher body

Default JS Engines

So, who else out there is having problems getting their engines from EB mods, both warranty issues, and new engines ordered? Im getting a little frustrated. As a hobby shop owner, I cant think of a better way to hurt a business then this.

No, Im not starting a thread war, I am just wondering if its an ongoing issue, or if this is just bad luck on mybehalf.

Ive had several conversations with Ed now, and he is not following through with what he is telling me.

We just received 4 race preps. To date we have not had any warranty issues. I know a new shipment of engines is due soon.

That's normal. Air temp, humidity, cloud cover, traction and many other things change heat to heat. Don't worry so much about engine temp. The only time I ever temp an engine is to make sure it's under 300

I did a dry run test and it made 12 mins to completely dry. I put a new plug in before the main and then checked it after, it looked almost new, just a light gold tinge on the face of the plug. The tune is very close, where before it was too fat on bottom. The plug face was brownish black and the coil was becoming pull distorted. I could not ask for more out of this engine.
Thanks

I have one of these but been running the 086 Dynamite in buggy cause you recommended it. Going to venture into Truggy class(only been racing buggy so far this year) and this(2041) is what ill be running. Ive been on the podium every week in buggy this season since going EBMods.Time to get in Truggy and rep.

Ill be ordering engines in the next week or 2 Joe. Been battleing a feild of B5's all season and I think Ive changes some minds. Prolly be get 2 of each version. Working on getting the cash together now.

Im on gallon 6 of my Full Mod JS. ABSOLUTELY no issues what so ever. Hands down the best engine Ive ever run. Running P4 plugs, Dynamite 086 pipe and get 9-10 minute run times in buggy depending on surface and temping 230 consistantly.

Anyone looking for a Full Mod? I have one here got o this link.
http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...-086-pipe.html
And for everyone out there. Im a team driver and have had a raceprepped in my truggy since January. One of the first JS motors to be released. Itis going on at least 6 gallons. It has a ton of compression and holds a perfect tune every race day. Never have to worry about it. It will go easly 10 mins on fuel as well. So yea as there may be some motors out there with issues. I know there are alot of them that run perfect.
Have fun at the races.
