I picked up my motors and fuel @ 6:30 Friday morning from UPS, and headed to the Battle @ the Beach this weekend. Got the extras installed on them, and into the buggy. I had to grind down the right rear corner on the mounting area to it my Jammin X2 with the 1 piece motor mount. The 2 piece mount might be a different story. It didn't take a lot to clear, but I wanted a little clearance. Had to do the same thing to my V-spec, and have had no problems, so I do not expect any with this motor either.
I heated the motors, and then fired them up. They started right up, and ran great all weekend. One in my truggy was running a little rich, but I had my buggy motor right on the tune. Plenty of power, and mileage. I didn't run it till it was empty, but pitted around the 9 minute mark to be safe. Motor came off the track between 195-210 after the qualifiers, and mains. Seems to run pretty good around these temps. I had to borrow a buggy for the 3rd round of qualifying, which was also equipped with a JS motor, since I broke an A-arm in round 2 on my buggy. I turned some good lap times with his borrowed buggy. ( maybe a brand switch is coming) I qualified 13th in the Buggy class out of about 30 entries, and 8th in Truggy out of 20. B main for the buggy, A main for the truggy. Finished in the same positions I started the mains in. I don't think it was bad for the 1st time out running a truggy at all. I did have quite a few people asking info about the motors, so hopefuly there will be more JS engines heading to the southeast. Had a lot of fun, and am ready for more with these motors. Club race in 2 weeks, and then RC Pro Series opener. Can't wait!!! Stephen |

The Team ran this weekend in SoCal. Temp. was 80 degrees. In the Mods we ran P6 plugs and P5s in the stock/race preps.
The engines ran better with the colder plugs and warm temps. Buggies and trucks pitted at 10 minutes. Please try these plugs as we get into summer. Hello There Peter, Just receive my EB Mods JS fully Mod engines, ran it today at our local track........it is AWESOME !! Ran 4 tanks ....using 2035 tuned pipe, Force Turbo 5 glow plug, did all 4 tanks with 10 mins refuel..... The engine comes with 0.3mm shim.......is this best suited for 30% Nitro Fuel?? Outside Temp. is mostly 30-35c.... :):):):D |
yes the engine comes shimmed for 25%-30% nitro.

Does the 9901 only come as the 'super strong'? Sounds heavy. The 086 is about an ounce lighter than most pipes

the current 9901 is the SS.. the original 9901 was like the old NR pipes. |

What issues have you noticed with the OD plugs? Is it just a fit issue with the JS button?

I dont want to bash any companies or their products, but we found them to be too hot and inconsistent from one to the next. Till the JS factory has plugs we recommend OS P5's in the stock and Race prepped, and P5 or P6 in the full mod.
I'm using OS plugs in the GRP and I've had great luck with them as well. Wasnt intended to derail anything, just wanted some info :) |
if anyone wants to buy a 086 send me a pm..have one with 3 tanks on it...not for me sticking with my AE2035...its the chrome version will sell for 40.00 shipped...

I would suggest the 2041 pipe which I'm currently running but I believe I bought the last 2 from amain that were in the country. I ran the 2041 with p4 and 7mm insert. Was getting over 10 mins in buggy and power was ridiculous. I will be going to the p6 this upcomming weekend.
