So what im trying to say is quality is everywhere as long as the person knows what they are doing .
Material is going to be a driving factor for the success of these JS motors. Just hope Ed doesn't slim in that area to keep cost down. |
motor
I just want to know who makes the motor in Taiwan because you can only hope it is made by GO. It costs thousands of dollars to make a new motor and alot of testing, just look at how long the new Odonnell motor took to come out, because it is made by a Taiwan 2 stroke engine company that had no model engine experience and it took 2 years to get the quality. I have seen how long Thunder Tiger has been working on the new Reedy motor and the thousands of dollars they have spent to develope it. Any one can make a fast motor that can win a race but the Italians and now GO and Thunder Tiger and SH in China are starting to figure out that we want Quality. Any one try the STS S21T the motor is sick fast and will win any race but you are lucky to get 3 gallons out of it lol. That is all I am trying to say. I will buy one because I love micro motors that is why I like this hobby I try them all.

Any more info on the new EBMODS JS Engines -
I still see no dyno sheets posted on them - just curious and want more info. |
Did Ed post the press release on RC Tech?
|
Sorry for the delay. I don't have the press release finished.
We are still working on a few things and we want to make sure everything is right before finalizing the release. |
Awesome! Thx for the prompt response.
|
Any new news here?

Getting Close
Hey sorry for the delay everyone. But good news...... we are finally going to start production on the new JS Racing engine, the ETA should be around the end of November. Below is a link to what the new engine looks like. I'll have a page up soon on my web site with a full break down of the engine.

Heads are crossed drilled
TiN coated cranks, Wrist Pin, and Carb slide.... The TiN coating on the JS cranks are 3 times thicker then the previous TiN on the EBM5 cranks. We are working on our own plugs but so far the OD97T and OS P4 worked best with 30% EBMods Fuel. San: Pricing will be competitive with comparable engines on the market. Look for the stock engines to be around the $210-$225 range. |
What's the pricing going to look like? These new $200+ semi-modded engines (Alpha, Go, Werks, Odonnell, RB K9, etc) are flooding the tracks, whooping a$$ and taking names. And doing so under the $250 mark. :weird:
|
Jeremy Kortz just took 3rd at the Sidewinder Explosion with a $200 Werks B5. :sneaky:
|
Is that a DLC coated crank I see?

A few rough Sleeve Pics. Working on better pics for web site.
There has only been 6 of these made for testing. Once we go full production the parts go from the Proto CNC machine to the production CNC Machines. |
Ed, the engine looks good and the price too.

Where are these manufactured or who manufactures them?

The JS Racing Line isn't any OEM engine line. Engine design and development are exculsive to JS Racing and EBMods. The Factory and myself have worked very hard on this project to get the end user the power, reliability, and price that we all want in today's times.
|
Let me know when they're ready to ship. I want to test one out.
|
I´m intersted in the engines too for me( my son) and to sell them here in Portugal:)

Victor,
Thank you very much. Malaysia, JS Racing has it's own Factory to make most of the parts. Other parts are contracted to other factories so we can keep up with demand. JS Racing is a small company for now and is working hard to get everything made in-house. |

There will be three choices to choose from: Stock- We inspect the engine, re-oil and box. Race Prepped - We Inspect, and Break-In the engine Full Mod - We Modify the engine parts and Break-In the engine. |

I'll get the RC Detectives on it asap.. |
Five pages of the usual hype over an engine that
isn't even available to the public yet. I will welcome the time when the first post for a product states it's now in stock and ready to ship. Enough with the B.S., get the product in stock and then pat yourself on the back. |

pricing still isn't set in stone, but look for the Full Mod engine to hit the street around $375. This will be a Fully Modified Broken-In ready to go engine with EBMods heat sink.

Ed how will this engine compare with the ninja jx .21

This is Stock engine vs Stock engine with the same EBMods 30% Race Fuel |
Here's a graph of the OS Speed 2 and JX. Both are stock, 2060 pipes, 30% EBMods Race Fuel.
