which pipes would be a better match to my evo4 sti? anyone tried:

IDM 2651 pipe set or RB turbo (6mm) with medium header?

Can anyone tell me if it is worth having a s23re sent to Murnan? I just acquired one and I am either going to have it moded or sell it, but I was hoping to get a few opinions to help me make up my mind......

how old is it?, cause the newer sirio revo motor is a .27 i had 2 which one was modified and one was stock ,the modded one was a screemer, it also had ceramic bearings and a RB pipe which helped

Good question and thank you for the response. It is probably at least a year old and I am thinking it is the first "revo/ tmaxx" engine by sirio. Not sure though. Also it is orange and not blue as all the other models I have seen on ebay and such are blue. But hopefully someone here has some knowledge of the engine I am prepared to do a full mod plus ceramic. Since I paid nothing for the engine mod cost are second to "is it worth it".......

I have a question, just picked up an RB Xenon-R engine it has an AAC sleeve.
I have been trying to find some info on the net about it all I see is that it requires a different break-in than ABC engines.

I couldn't imagine why a heat cycle break-in wouldn't work, any tips for AAC, just wanted a 3rd opinion I am pretty sure a careful heat cycle break-in would work.

(it is made by sirio, and sirio has made some AAC sleeves so I posted here)

Hey Jim, the AAC engine will benefit even more so by heat cycling. About the only caution is to avoid overheating the engine too much. You can get it a little hot, but when they get silly hot, they seem to lose their snap.

Thanks for the info what would be a good temp range? nothing over 250 I assume? Since I am not buying a replacement AAC sleeve ($220+ bucks!) I want to get the most run time out of the current one

It depends on the ambient temp. The Sirio CL7R would run at pretty moderate temps. We'd run it with 30-percent nitro in 80 degree weather and would run in the 210-220 range. I would probably say you're pushing your luck above 260, lower in colder weather.

Hello guys I have run the Jp r9s, and max xl9 tq. I have seen plenty of cl7r sti engine and it is just as fast as the novarossi motors if not faster. I want to run the cl7r Sti motor this year but I was told they are a one race motor only and that they don't last long. I also am interested in the cl7r abc version of the cl7r sti (aac version) but can't find it team epic don't carry the cl7r only the cl7r sti. How long will the sirio cl7r sti last if it is taken care of and not overheated? The sirio motor is cheaper but if you have to rebuilt it after every race the motor is so cheap anymore so you might as well pay $650.00 up front for a good nova, or max power engine than to pay $360.00 for a sirio cl7r sti and $220.00 every gallon for a new piston and sleeve. Some one please enlighten me.
