Thanks for the update chadster....

I havent got a XXX yet. Ive been waiting for ver2 to come out.

Not that in a hurry at the moment. I have a couple of Evo4 club motors that will keep me going for a while.

Hope to get the XXX for the QLD titles though.

Default sleeve/Piston for Sirio s21s or S21r

Anyone know where I can get a replacement sleve/piston for an old s21r or s21s, from what I can tell these are both the same engine, one aimed at on-road the other for off-road.

I've acquired one cheaply and has very little compression, and turns over way to eaisly, suspect it has many miles under it's belt.

Cheers

Francois

Yes, I changed plugs. I have used Turbo Plug no. 6 and 7. Finally it runs with No. 6, but it does not stay idle. When turn to idle, engine just do not like it. Then wind down and stop. So, I got no idea how this happen.

for 16%nitro, s6 plug better.
check yr throttle linkages, make sure it's not closing the idle gap when u release throttle or braking.

if not set a bigger idle gap so that it can idle and retune from there...

I think 15% oil is also a bit to much....

if it idles with the glow warmer on and stops when you take it off , it is to rich on the bottom end , if its very rich on the bottom it causes it to stop due to way to much fuel

Default idle

Turn the idle screw in . To set the lowspeed rev it a few seconds and when it comes to idle if it drops rpm lean the lowspeed. If after reving a few seconds the rpm comes up at idle it's to lean. Make sure the gap on the slide is not too small or it will be impossible to get right. Hope this helps.

Finally, I got it run. I set idle first and then adjust low speed needle. Thanks for everyone's help.

Default rich but high temp? (.12 Evo4 STI)

hi guys,
is it possible for the engine to run hot (about 280-290F) but still rich (piston and button head still shiny wet)? engine power seems ok but not that REALLY fast yet...
air temp about 80F and humidity about 70%...

what could cause the above scenario?
i've checked my clutch and it's not slipping and my car's transmission seems ok, no binding...
