Scott,

Have you seen or run the Capricorn CL12-E or CL12-ET which are based on the Sirio XXX motor. I'm trying to decide what my next motor purchase will be and have narrowed it down to the Sirio XXX or the Capricorn CL12-E or CL12-ET. Any advise.

Regards,
Speyederjedi

I have no experience at all with the Capricorn engines.

So far I know it is EVO4 based but with the XXX timings. I can not imagine the XXX is already available for the other customers/brands.

Scott, are you going to run your M3 at CP TFTs? Or did you already sell the Sirio CLR7. I heard someone at the KO GP was running one that he got a great deal on. Im sure you know who that is.

BTW:

There is an entry list posted that shows what class I am entered in at the T4T class. You know the entry list... that thing you have been bitching about in another thread.

nitrodude 11-20-2008 10:55 AM

I know about the entry list, I like it when people do things the right way.

Some people decide at the last minute to ran a second class, maybe you havent made up your mind yet.

I have no plans to run 1/8th scale at either of the T4T races. What is the right way to do things?

You still seem to be a bit obsessed with me. What gives?

Yes, the Capricorn CL12-E and CL12-ET are Siro based from the XXX and are distributed here stateside by Murnan Modified. Have a look.

You're the one who brought up the entry list, I was just pointing out the fact that some people do things the way I (and others) like them, and some just choose to do whatever they want without regards for anyone else but themselves.

You're right. I brought up the entry list because you had mentioned it as an issue with regards to the Paris race. While I agree with you (and others) that an entry list is a nice thing to post, that doesn't make it right and it doesn't mean the lack of an entry list is a sign of disregard for anyone else. I would have posted the list, but I like some others don't decide which races to attend based on who else is going.

Lets go back to Sirio in this thread. We can argue irrelevant semantics somewhere else.

If you still want a Sirio try Winners Circle or Ashford as they do things right with total regard for other people

I do aggree with Steve on supporting the local shops. With economy as bad as it is, we need to support the shops in our community. Nothing against any other shops by no means, as I to have purchased from them years ago. But as every one is aware, our tracks are dropping off like flies. We are fortunate to have a shop like Kamikaze Toys and Hobbies, that not only sell the items we need, they are a huge supporter of the hobby also. I think if the other shops were in our area, supporting the hobby, sponsoring races, they too would get support. But to each thier own.
Now, back to the Sirio thread.

I do not have the luxury of having a hobby shop that stocks the real racing stuff that we demand so I have had to get it through the mail. I have had different experiences than you have so I send people to different places for exactly the same reasons you support TK. I have found great customer service and nice people at Ashford and Winners Circle.

If you want a Sirio engine I am sure TK will get you one. I won't spend any of my money there anymore.

has anone run the xxx yet?

G87z 11-23-2008 06:34 PM

Hello,
Is the XXX a lower model engine compared to the Evo 4? Murnan has it listed at $299 and the EVO 4 at $349. I thought the XXX was going to cost more $.

Thanks!
