I have just purchased a novarossi .28 5 port new out of the box i can turn it over by hand on the crankshaft with plug out. I this normal or is something wrong with my new motor. I doesn't feel like any other nitro motor I have had

Is there a piston?Look through the plug hole and see if it is stroking while you turn it over.Something seems wrong to be able to turn it over that easily.

I purchased It from A-main hobbies it was new in a sealed box and a sealed plastic bag inside the box.
Yes it does have a piston in it. I build race motors for full size sprint cars so I think i have a good understanding of engines.

.21 Piston in a .28 Sleeve? Unlikely since P/S sets are usualy kept in match sets...

Weird...

its a plus 28-5 and you can turn it over by hand huh?

no , you should not be able to do so for sure . there is definitely something wrong with the picture here . maybe you should call Amain and see what they can do for you

I called A-Main and the tech I spoke with was not very knowledgeable on nitro stuff. They refered me to Fusion I called there but Jim Is gone for a week at a race. I guess I will wait till he gets back.
I did not figure it was right but I wanted to make sure.

Thanks for the info.
