Thanks for the responses guys. I pulled the trigger on it and will be breaking it in starting tonight. I am excited to see this thing loosen up and push my 6t around.

Default Well

I have a lil' over four gallons on mine she loves to run around 270... she drinks odonnell and sports a 97t in her head.. still can barely turn over by hand... she smokes plenty...

What would you do?
Send her back, to where she came. to get inspected.
Try another plug..
Just run her.
Other. and what is that?

Thanks for your opinion!
PEACE

Ok well i'm too impatient to search the thread so, anybody know the nova p/n for the p/s/r? Is it the same as the 21-7? Also where to buy. Thanks.

p/n for the fms is 08566
p/n for the regular 21-7t is 08054T

The sleeve for the regular 21-7 is basically the 367's without the lower piston port

The fms's sleve looks a lot like the classic novarossi 7 port on-road racing sleeve.

Thank you much! Happy Thanksgiving to all. Now, what crankshaft did they use in it? Looks like one of the onroad cranks.

crankshaft and all the bottom end of the engine is from the on-road, Plus 21-3C, p/n 85011.

You've been very helpfull, thank you. They are almost too expensive to rebuild. Fusion has the p/s/r listed for almost the cost i can buy a new engine for. Ouch! I would like to try one, but it's hard to justify parts cost. My first nova based engine was a disappointment-no top end. My buddies FMS runs real well, but compression in that motor is dropping and looks to last about the same as my speed engines.

I got some good run time in on my fms this weekend and it is getting sweet like you all have said. I have around a gallon and a quarter or a half and it is what I was looking for in my truggy. It seems to come on fairly smooth and quickly pulls like a four stroke from the bottom to the mid. It seems to have a real smooth, very powerfull pull off of the bottom. I was clearing short run up jumps with real ease. My top end was fast, but I think it will have more after some more fuel gets through it. Even if it didn't, I would would not be disappointed. It was running side by side with well broken in modded jx ninjas, and speeds, which everyone knows those mills are fast. I think I made a great decision with this mill. I am still running a 8mm venturi for the break in, so I never really tested the runtime. I am going to go down to the 7mm first and see what runtimes I get next time out.

Default RESURRECTIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS! My FMS finally arrived!

There's been such great things said about this engine (in truggy), I can't believe this thread isn't seeing more action.?

Anyway, I "powerhouse" preheated, threw an extra shim in her, leaned the lsn 1/2 turn, and !!!BAMM!!!!-stuck at tdc! Pulled her out, channel-locked the flywheel back to it's proper place (twice ), then heard the sweet sound of my very first novarossi engine gurgle to life!

With "the heat" still in place, only a few (very) light pulls of the throttle in the first 30 sec's. or so to maintain idle, was all she needed to say-"I'll take it from here!" It idled almost the whole 1'st tank with only an occasional pull for some clearing with NO flameout!

My plan is to spend all day tomorrow gettin' a full gallon through her, to try and reach that "majic" spot before the big race next weekend.

You guys have had some time with your fms now, so hop back on here and let me in on your experiences with this monster!

Thanx, Greg
