Yea, I would do that also, but my WS7 I quit running when I was at a race, my C6 was just getting broke in, and did'nt have time to do the swap, so just left it, it still needs more time for break in, I had maybe 3, 500cc bottles of fuel thru it when I had no choice, I needed an engine quick, I was racing the Nitro X championship in Arizona.

It's hard to say on the feel as everyone tunes differently. But to me and how I tune the engine felt stronger then my last C6 and the power was very linear, very smooth like a electric motor.

sounds good, are you racing on large track? What are you running the K9 in? Buggy? Truggy?

Killer 9 is a great engine for the price! I have almost 2 gallons on mine including the break-in (gallon). Engine is still super tight that you struggle to turn the flywheel over when mounted in my truggy.

My setup is:
7mm insert
2045/192mm pipe/header
Byron %25 Pro

(ditch the 8mm insert it comes with for a 7mm, BIG difference in runtime!!)

Last week I was able to get almost 10 mins on a pit.
I ran a 20 min. Main on one stop and ran out of gas after I crossed the finish line for my last lap. Luckily I had a nice lead on third to hang on to my 2nd place finish. The engine was cold, I don't know what the actual temp was but I would guess about 190'.

I will definately buy another one when this one dies.

Hi what plug are you using?

aaron joy 11-05-2009 10:36 AM

I run it in my Truggy 8ight T 2.0 with 50/13 gearing on large tracks.

I run O'Donnell 97t, I usually run them for three race days then change it out.

does anyone have any info on the new shark motors. May be someone can help me i am looking for a smooth motor like the os speed. Does rb make a motor with a smooth feel.

I have a shark engine that I am going to break in for a friend of mine as we speak. They are extremely limited in that US is only getting 100 out of 400 in the world. It should be good the sleeve is cut like swiss cheese and the crank appears to weighted from the illustration included with the engine. I may be able to open it up for pics, I will ask my buddy if he minds. It does come with the better carb with the idle screw behind the carb.

Try a Killer 9, it is a runner. Smooth and great on mileage with 7mm insert.

The last year C6 or the new B9 will make you very happy. Top it with a 2045/192 pipe/header combo. Also I have yet to break in the Killer 9 but from the specs it should be a sleeper also.

From all the specs, it's looks to be pretty much the C6/B9. with the pipe, header, and fuel cooler combo.

RB WS9/7mm venturi with Sirio 2013 pipe.
Try it.
10 + runtime when on the same track the OS gets 9min.

xBRxSAIGON 11-08-2009 08:35 AM

Whats the diff. between the WS and C6???

vti-chris 11-08-2009 08:55 AM

WS has way more power down low and not that much top end speed.

Have you tried the RB 2045 pipe with the 192 header yet? Usually you will get better more. and better mileage. Not sure of the 2013, what is it similar to?

Is it a big track your running on? or small? That can make a huge difference in pipe choice.
