I enjoy my bx with a 2087 pipe. Pretty good mileage and more top end than my b9 with a 2045 pipe. It's always super humid where I live and I always run the hottest plugs I can find.

Just click on "Kontakt"(upper left hand corner), and write the dude a mail in English. Chances are good he'll be able to sort you out.. Good shop btw - bought my radio and some other stuff from them.. (which he also has on sale - Sanwa/Airtronics MX-V for €80..) Dude's got some pretty good offers at the moment..

Ok gents I need some insight as I am just about to pull the trigger on a bxr for my mbx7. A couple of questions:
1. How well does the Breakin go? Are they super tight or similar to nova?
2. What are the best plugs. I'm currently running in 25-35 Celsius conditions. I have a selection of p4, werks 5/6, nova 5/6, and odonnel.
3. Pipe for a technical track? I have a werks 2058, nova 2096/41021, nova 9886/41001? Don't really want to buy any more pipes so just after the most appropriate from my existing selection
4. Any other items that are unique to rb?

Many thanks in advance.

Hey Prowlag,

1. Been a while since i have run in a Nova, but for the RB we always use a pre heater (comp heater for) for the first couple of litres. We have had no issues at all when we pre heat. We have run in over 10 of these motors and have found the best method is the drive it straight away method nothing under 90 degrees and on the pipe from the first tank... 5min runs cooling in between ( we do this on a road for the first 6 - 8 tanks ) then move onto the track.

2. We run the RB V3 no 6 mostly or though on a hot day ( over 30c ) we use a 7, the Nova plugs would be best.

3. Sorry can't help much with any of those pipes you have, but anything that leans towards the bottom end would be ok..... The BXr has heaps of top end.

4. Nothing special needed

Cheers

Mark

Is the V9 Blast a race or sport motor? That's a great deal for $199.

The Blasts are made up of old parts. The V9 has C5 internals.

I bought a blast on Black Friday from Amain I just put it on and broke it in so far I really like it. My last 3 motors was nova 21-4, p5, and a toro Nero and so far I like this motor better. I just hope it holds up like the nova's.
