Okay, I can see the differences between the 2, the 9901 is the same diameter from the pressure nipple forward, the 2097 looks like its tapers forward.

I'm using the 2045/192 parabolic header, the new 2045 with the matt finish, I think the header is 192? I may try the 192 header on it to see how it works, I'm still breaking in the engine, just have, maybe a fuel bottle thru it now, but, it does have some great power, very linear, I think. Have you tried the Nova 2096 pipe? It is identical to the 2045 pipe.

No 2096 for me. I don't like them. I use 2045/192 on our smaller tracks. It tames my CRE F11 down some. Very responsive though. 9886/41001 is in the middle, 2083 on werks manifold is wacked but drive able.

Well, looks like the Fires are almost nowhere to be found over here anymore.. Have an offer for a Blast V4 though, for a decent price..

How is it? More of a buggy engine I assume, not so much for truggy?

Thanks HB. Why, may I ask? (Just posted this in the NR thread, but...) I ran my F11 last weekend in buggy, and it had mega-power and silly-too-much top end for the track, but it just wasn't as responsive as I'd like. I was wondering if a smaller venturi would give it that more feathery, modulated (as opposed to sledge-hammer, but with a minute delay..) feel... I just rumaged around and found a 7mm and 8mm venturi, and put a 7mm in.. ?? Thanks. Also, are you running it in buggy or truggy?

Mine is in truggy. It's also CRE modded. A smaller venturi makes for a 2 stage power feeling in my book, lol. I use the RB 2045/192 on smaller/med size tracks for the throttle snap just like you're looking for. My big track pipe is a "Boss" 2083 chamber on a werks manifold since it uses a 4 spring coupler. This combo makes stellar power with very good bottom and a explosive mid/top. Not so good on smaller, slippery tracks, lol. I need to test the 9886 with 41001/41021 manifolds some more before i can comment. My motor just ate its 2nd rear bearing, but i'll have it running for next weekend and i'll run the nova pipe and give my opinion. I really like this engine. One of the things Neal does is drop the sleeve in the block to deal with its high exhaust timing in stock form. Then he re-times the intakes. Really makes it hit in the lower revs, but still hits a heluva note up top. 2083 pipe revs so hard it peeled metal off the bearing race. 2nd bearing cracked the inner bearing race, but it was a hybrid bearing somebody changed the balls to ceramic. Lesson learned.

For the guys using the CRE Modded Fire 11,
What sort of run times are you getting out of your motors and what
pipe / header combinations are you running to get these times.

I have one in a MBX6R Buggy and just getting 7 minute run times.
Would like to get more, was aiming for the 10 minute mark if at all possible.

Cheers.

Recently getting 10 min pits everywhere in truggy with both RB & Boss pipes. Stock carb with 8mm insert. Tuning is key with this engine.

the F11's aren't usually bad on fuel...they wont set any records either, but they aren't usually too bad.......... How much fuel do you have thru the engine ? what fuel do you run ? nitro %, oil %......... what pipe ?, what clutch ?, what car, what gearing...... Now what do other racers around you usually get in buggy ? what temperature do you run this engine at ? with a little finesse and fine tuning you should be able to massage more runtime from the engine then your getting ,but I am not so sure if 10 minute pitstops in buggy are realistic for a engine like that tho...
