Just curious Rex can you turn these into a full on race motor with mods and whatever else you and your magic wand decide to do.
I wouldnt mind throwing one your way to see what you could do to it .
What are they based on , Go or something?
CHEERS

I was just going to mod one this week. They look great quality wise and should be a great performer stock. I will get some timing # this week, I can tell what the powerband is like then.

Rex has put some used engines on his FB site, measured & with detailed descriptions. Check them out ;)

Hey Rex just wanted to stop by and tell you thanks.

The REX Plus-5 is a real performer, way better than expected.

I basically got 10 mins run time on an indoor clay track with a slightly fat top end.

Not completly loosened up. But man this thing is buttery smooth, but still has awesome power.

Thanks again bud..

22Racer 02-10-2015 09:30 PM

The Rex engines are good, great quality for the price. I have the Rex marked down right now.

9901 SS
Thinking about trying 9853 just to see what is does.
This engine is nothing like a P5, at least the way it feels on the track.
It has a very smooth powerband, yet is has a good amount of power.

Nice.. How would you describe the stock D52 in truggy, on a scale of powerhouse to well-mannered smooth race engine?... (I'm more after the former.. Love my A52 as well...)

rick oxley 03-12-2015 10:13 AM
