I am no longer selling Alpha engines. The Argus R83 engine is basically the same as a Dragon at a much better price. Shoot me an e-mail at [email protected]

I haven't posted on this thread in a while, here is a new tuning video I just made.

Another video, this time about checking compression height.

REX - Have you modded a Novarossi Bonitto at all?

22Racer 10-12-2018 09:50 AM

I have modified Bonito's and Rb Sls engines with good luck.

Thanks for posting videos. As a nitro newb it really helps!

Whats your ideal running temp? and what is the max temp the motor should hit before damage is caused?

It depends on the engine. Most engines make good power between 240-260 degrees. Some engines can run 300 without any problems. Os engines do not like to get over 260, they will lose there pinch if they get over 260-280.. Not a huge deal as a resize fixes that.

I wish more than anything that I wasn't sharing this news, but Rex passed recently. May he rest in peace.

cant believe it dude. Truly upsetting, I don’t know Rex personally, but I’ve been lurking/part of these forums for over 15 years and Rex was always around. His informational YouTube videos were spot on, and he seemed like a genuine, kind human being that cared about the rc Hobby and nitro. R.I.P rex
