+1
i run with the r2 pipe, rich enough to keep temp between 210 -220 and i easily get 9 minutes to a tank with an extremly heavy finger. this motor is phenomenal at holding a tune!
lean it out a little, dont be scared to get it over 230. ours runs around 235 ... running an engine rich is actually hurting it, stretches the rod and all. you always want it in the tuning window, not rich and not lean to make your engine last longer. the biggest thing is do not worry about temp, same brands of engines will run at different temps. for example me and a friend bought the same engine at the same time from the same place and used the same break in method, his engine ran at 250 and mine ran at 280-290, this is an Alpha engine though.

well all im trying to same is dont worry about temp so much, you'll be much happier and it will last longer if you dont run it rich. but dont run it lean either.

because i wanted to wear them out before running the SS, the JPX has 10 gallons on it and the Alpha has 1 gallon so just wearing them out. we have a SS though but my dad is running it mostly, i run it when he doesnt. im getting some SS's to run next year. i just switched to the team about 2 month ago and just got the Alpha and the JPX, i didnt think would last as long as it is. the SS are great engines, im going to end up getting the SS and sell my current engines

I don't want to start a thread, and I understand this doesn't really go here, but I just had to say something: I just tried O'Donnell fuel today and I really like it. That's all, thank you.

And take your time, don't rush it. Keep an eye on the needles, some times they move a little on there own. There's a up-grade on the o-rings in case it happens.

Anyone know the bearing sizes ? I'm on gallon 5 and want to replace bearings but tower has the rear listed as 15x25x6 but my manual says 14x24x6 . I plan on racing Saturday so i didn't want to pull it apart to measure the bearing .
Thanks

I've had 6 87t plugs on backorder with Tower Hobbies since the middle of Sept. and it just rolls over every month saying estimated at the end of the month. Anybody know of any stock on these plugs for a reasonable cost? Preferably not the retail price of $9.00. I prefer these to the 97t but they work nearly as well.
