Default #5 vs #6

Chad, the number 5 seems to run easier. I put it in and had the "shut off problem" solved so it seemed. I finally made it out to the track and got in a tank before the rains hit....come back home to clean up (little muddy out there) and then the "shut off" started again...i switched to #6 plug and back to #5 and opened the idle to see if this helped...and it looks like it did so I called it a night.

I think the idle is still set too high though and I have to hit the breaks to get the carb fully closed...its like its not retracting to the fully closed position....I am going to re-seat the throttle servo and start again tomorrow.....

any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

thx Joe...will try that tom...FYI...and for others reading...the engine is just sick. its fast, smooth all the way through... and something I noticed right away, but I don't think anyone has mentioned, the engine seems to level itself out while in flight...without any effort on my part!!!! I mean jump after jump, it did not matter what, while in "flight" this bad boy just settles down for an easier landing....crazy..go figure!!!

LOL... Guys this race will be awesome the track is by far my favorite ever... Great bunch of guys... And just so you know last week for a series race the trinity X-Tech was dominating... 5 out of the top 10 were trinity engines and 2 out of the top 3 were trinity. I got to run one in the a-main and really liked it... and sice it was somones backup-backup engine i'm kinda anxious to get one... But these are some awesome engines and notice you don't see trinity in my sig so i'm not plugging my sponsor or anything.

good luck BAD R/C next week with the race hopefully you have the numbers your looking for and sorry i can't make it...

Guys, the fully modded Trinity X-Tech .21 is now available to the public! Get em now. They will go fast I am sure. I run one and it is from another planet. I think Ed reverse engineered alien technology from area 51 for this one!

chad, i was racing at revelation tonight and i believe one of the trinity guys called you about my engine. It appears its leaking fuel out of the carb boot. I cleaned it up before the last heat and again before the race and both times there was buildup of muck where it appears to be leaking. If you can pm me your number, or address. I leave Tuesday morning for a week, so i can just send the engine in for an inspection if that's ok with you guys.

On another note, thanks to the guys at revelation for helping me out and pitting for me, made my first race experience nice and fun! i was trying to look for you before i had to leave, my friend was in a hurry and i didn't get a chance to thank you guys.

here's an update, this should give you a better idea of what the issue is, i took the engine out, looks like its definitely leaking from the carb boot. i also snapped a pic of the front bearing, it appears the fuel was dripping from the carb down to the bearing as well.
